I don’t like denominations persay…. I’m a bible believing follower of Christ.

I am currently considering myself an orthodox (lowercase o) interdenominational Christian. But I’ve gravitated towards the Southern Baptist Convention and will attend one of its seminaries soon. I love its structure, its love for the Bible as the inspired and inerrant Word of God, the Triune God, and the unchanging Gospel and its heart for missions. The history has not always been pretty, but it has repented time and time again. It has made adjustments when necessary and stood for the Gospel above all else. See the “conservative resurgence”

I attend charismatic/Pentecostal churches. I was saved in one and that is where I am
Comfortable. But If anyone asks I am a Christian. I just follow Christ. -
Orthodox Presbyterian Church.
You’ll find most Americans have an aversion to labeling themselves. They like the term non denominational because they just don’t know enough history to know what groups have historically said the exact same things their church says.

A former Atheist, I had a hard time debunking Christianity in 2012. When I put forth the same effort to debunk Darwinian Evolution, Intelligent Design became the only plausible answer. That led me to the Historical Study of Christ as an actual historical being along with John the Baptist. I became fascinated with Wallace’s “Cold Case Christianity” and was Baptized Southern Baptist in 2013. I am now non-denominational as I can reach more and teach more. -Matthew 9:10-13 ?

Technically, there are no denominations in Christendom. Christian is Christian and there are no divisions. Each denomination focuses on one aspect, neglecting others. It is schism.

First being a member of more than one assembly is ecclesiastical polygamy. Second being a member if more than one denomination is taking it a step lower in polygamy with incestuous polygamy.
Third, what kind of joint are you smoking to be asking such a question in such an obvious condition,? -

I grew up Catholic. Was saved and baptized in a little SBC church in Georgia. Pastored for several years. Graduated from an SBC seminary. Now I am a Nazarene Elder.

I do not belong to ANY denomination. I chose this because I like to read what God said, and not what some particular group of men thought he said and wanted to be special.

We like to say we only follow scripture and are non denominational ect, but our theology is what identifies us, I would love to say follower of the way, sola scriptura blah blah but if I for example believe in baptising babies, that puts me in the Presbyterian camp, or if I believe that God chose me before the foundation of the world, I fall into the calvinist quarter, if I keep a Saturday sabbath, I’m 7th day Adventist.
We all fall within these categories, I call myself reforming, not reformed because that indicates that you are settled in your belief system, reforming is always being open to truth. -
I like $100’s but I’ll accept $50s and $20s.

Well I just escaped the NAR if that makes sense to anyone. Praise the lord I got outta that movement of false doctrines and practices after almost 20 years of deception. I’m now a bible believing follower and quite cautious of denominations now.

Was raised Roman Catholic, got genuinely saved, had more questions than a wise man had answers, read the bible, slowly, carefully and prayerfully, sought many denominations ended in the Assemblies of God. Why I joined is through much prayer and fasting God planted me here

Non denominational too ??.. I love the music and worship of Pentecostal churches but I enjoy the calmness of traditional churches and the hymns too. As long as we are worshiping the same God thought Jesus Christ and against the same evil. Then I’m glad to worship there too.. it’s helped me grow and understand Christianity better

Grew up catholic. I’m a Baptist now. Consider myself a 4.5 point Calvinist. First time I went to my church I heard the Gospel preach unapologetically for the first time in my life…. discovered the importance of discipleship and studying the Bible. loved it and stayed.

Southern Baptist, the Cooperative program helps people in need all over the world. Also, their teaching of the word is the clearest and most accurate. I’m not against any other denominations though. However, they seems to muddy the waters and make the gospel harder and more confusing than they need to.

Seven years ago I stopped being a protestant and joined the Catholic Church. I joined the Catholic Church because it is true and is the realization of what Paul wrote in first Timothy chapter 3 verse 15. “The pillar and foundation of truth“.

I think im going to start my own denomination based on minimalistic churches. Instead of having one large church, have several small churches with 3 members each.
The bigger the church, the more susceptible to corruption it becomes lol

I dont like the labeles of the church. I am a child of God saved by grace always seeking to understand the bible better.

They spread and cause division and they hinder the oneness inside the body of Christ and that is just what Satan likes

Ever since I became a Christian at 27, I will only consider myself a Christian, as I only acknowledge Jesus as the head of my church and my King. Others I guess would call me an Anglican. I wouldn’t get caught up in trying to weigh up “which denomination is best”, that’s a fallacy and is vanity talking. Just go to a Bible believing place that preaches Jesus as Lord.

1 Corinthians 3:4-5Just follow Jesus; He will give people to help you in your walk with Him, but your walk is your walk with Him. It’s not about what we like and what we don’t like, it’s about what the Lord’s desire is. Also make sure that the Jesus in the house of worship you’re going to is the Jesus of the Bible; don’t just go and listen at every single meeting and not see for yourself, look in the Bible and see if what they’re teaching lines up

I believe denominations are unnecessarily divisive, and thus swear allegiance to none of them. I just call myself Christian because that’s what the early Church were called. This allows me to judge my church by the Bible, not the Bible by my church, minimising the risk of worldly error, and at the very least ensuring when I make an error, it’s MY error, not some denomination requiring I make it.

Denominations split away from the Roman Catholic Church. They are the daughters of the whore.
The original Church were Modalistic Monarchians.
The pre-Roman Catholic Confederate proto-Trinitarian movement were all excommunicated or rejected by official Church Bishops and developed out of Gnosticism.
One can find the authority, under Historical-Critical Science, to state for certain who were the Successors to the Apostles. Therefore, the Historical Record dictates that all early Bishops of the Church were Modalistic Monarchians until the mid to late 3rd Century, especially in the Roman Church.

I believe it John Calvin who indicated that denominational labels will burn off going down or fall off going up. What matters is if a person has placed their faith in the finished work of Christ and that alone.

I am Christian, non-denominational. I follow Christ, and attend a church that believes thatl the bible is 100% the Word of God and teaches and follows all of it. If you attend a church which does this, it doesn’t matter what denominational label is over the front door. Follow Christ, no matter the denomination. ():0)

Southern Baptist. Coming out of Roman Catholicism I was saved through a Southern Baptist pastor. Baptised in a Southern Baptist church and Ordained in a Southern Baptist church and pastored Southern Baptist churches.
All you non denominational people what are you going to tell Jesus at the judgement when He asks about midsionaries and Christian schools and ministry to the homeless and orphans and widows? Non denominational churches are just another aspect of lifeless and selfish Christanity. I know what my money supports when I give it to the Lord through the church – do you? -
Jesus NEVER said “unless you belong to a denomination you will not inherit the kingdom of God ” Nowhere in the bible denominations exist and that’s because Jesus never belong to one….Jesus did say in the bible “unless you are BORN AGAIN you will not inherit the kingdom of God”. Therefore, denominations is proof that it’s man made. You have to be BORN AGAIN PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!!!

No denomination, community bible based church. Not held by any other doctrine but the Bible. I wanted a church that didn’t have to fund multiple levels like a business as at least as much as the major denominations.

Denominations are completely unnecessary because I don’t find any denomination in the bible.
And my faith is often distracted when denominational pastors preach against another denominations. That’s why I really hate denominations of course not the people…forgive me if my speech is too harsh -

In reality, even someone who says he is nondenomenolical belongs to a denomination. They still follow a certain paternal of belief.

Independent Baptist. Grew up in a non-denominational Church that was originally Swedish Reform.

Non-denominational….Potter’s House. That was the last church I attended. It’s one of the few (I did NOT say only) churches where the pastor was more than willing to acknowledge he did not have all the answers. I asked difficult questions that many don’t think about (by his statement, not mine) and he absolutely encouraged me to continue asking them after many others said “Get in line rebel.”
