Can anyone tell me what belief this is? Is it an independent heresy, or part of a larger denomination? I’ve never heard anything like it until about 2/3 days ago, and no one I’ve asked seems to be familiar with it either.

    Independent heresy.

This guy has a big contradiction in his head.
    Don’t you read scriptures?
Want me to send you a bible?

  7. Kimberlee Leslie says:

John the Baptist was beheaded for standing up for the sanctity of marriage. St John Fisher experienced the exact same thing when he stood up to Henry VIII for the sanctity of marriage and also got his head removed. St Fisher was certainly aptly named.

  8. Monique Davis says:

It’s a lie. Christ commanded baptism in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit Before His death, after His resurrection and as part of the last thing He said before He left the earth ?.

People need to learn what Christ is the head of the Church means. He and ONLY HE sets the rules for salvation. Then they need to learn what reverence and love for God means so they pick up a Bible to see for themselves…. As the world starts to burn.?

So you got the first thing down… You believe ?

Next you repent by acknowledging to God that you are a terrible sinner against Him and you’re sorry for it. You ask Him to forgive you and you commit to a lifetime battle against your flesh and it’s continued desire to sin.

Then you go down in the watery grave of baptism…. you call a Church of Christ and they WILL take you REGARDLESS of the COVIDS? If they don’t, then move on to next one. But be sure you take your whole body completely under the water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Then you Get up and you love God with all your mind, body, and soul by Hanging on EVERY word that Christ utters. Don’t let ANYONE tell you ANYTHING that contradicts Christ. Don’t let anyone add anything or take anything from what Christ has said. HE is the ONLY one who says what you must do to be saved or not saved. The disciples and everyone else are allowed to say ONLY TOTALLY what Christ said. He is the end all be all.

You love your neighbors as you love yourself, you love EVERYONE BY treating them as you want to be treated. The best way to do that is to MAKE COPIES of yourself by making sure everyone else knows what they must do to be saved…. You become a priest under CHRIST. No one between you and Christ.

Study His word and become an expert before you move on to Acts-Jude. – Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John is where you live until death if necessary.

And you will not plan, and desire, and look forward to sin. You regret the sin and you fall and get up asking for forgiveness each time.

God will forgive you as far as the East is from the West. He is Faithful and true!

I don’t know that this is any denomination belief as much as an individual who has totally twisted scripture.

  10. Simon Yew says:

Where does this left for the Ethiopian eunuch baptized by Philip? Pointless? Sometimes people take one verse and assume that is what it means without reading the whole context of the Bible.

  11. Terry Thompson says:

Wowza, that certainly is a contrived view.

  15. William Clark says:

Wow. Just wow. I’ve never heard anything like this before and I’m afraid for non-believers and baby Christians who cross the paths of people who spread junk like this.

  16. William Clark says:

To be clear, water baptism is a public profession of faith in front of the churches body of believers. The new convert is fully submerged under water to show death to self and risen back above the water to show a new life in Christ. This is how it was explained to me when it was broken down in a way that I can understand because my elevator does NOT go all the way to the top and I do NOT have all the fries in my happy meal if you know what I mean.

Matthew 28:15 “…Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”……………>>>>>>>>Acts 10:47-48 “..Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord.”……..

  22. Paul Richard Grant says:

    Heresy

  23. Toni Armstrong says:

John paved the way for Jesus by the baptism of repentence. John says he that comes after me is preferred before me. Baptism is ourselves identifying with the death of the flesh to be raised anew in the Spirit If we don’t identify with the burial of our old lives we are still in our sin

  24. Toni Armstrong says:

Water baptism didn’t end with John The law and the prophets ended with John.

  25. Mieke Prinsloo says:

Wait what??? I find myself saying that so often in this group ??

  28. Jereme McAlpin says:

    This is definitely odd

  29. Jeremy Bickel says:

He was not murdered because of not following Jesus. He was murdered because he told a pagan that his action was against God. John was the last prophet of the Old Testament, but baptism went on after that, even though it is not mentioned in Paul’s gospel. It seems to have been communication in their society. In Paul’s gospel, verbally confessing Master Jesus ensures salvation to those who call on Him with the knowledge that He died for our sins, was buried, was raised from the dead and was seen by many witnesses – that leads us to call Him Master. Righteousness comes from believing that He was raised from the dead. Consider Mark 16:16 – He that believes and is baptized will be saved, and he that does not believe will not be saved. Jesus told them to baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The upshot is that baptism was expected but not required, and if we do baptize, then we should not keep from baptizing in all three of Their names. — Concerning new heresies, just be ready with the truth of Scripture to tell the first ones, and then you’ll probably learn its name if we start seeing it more often.

    It’s unGodly that’s what it is !

  32. Corey Matthew says:

Jay Zeke Malakai this is false information by someone who doesn’t understand scripture.

I would advise you to tell the person who said this to read (for starters) Acts 8:35-39

After Jesus death, the disciples were still water baptizing believers, as Jesus commanded the to do so in the great commission (Matthew 28:16-20)

Baptism is also talked about in Hebrews, and heavily by Paul.

  38. Bob McKay says:

Acts water baptism was an advance on John’s but was still a Covenant baptism for the remission of the covenant peoples sins. Paul thanked God he didn’t baptize any other,so he didn’t believe baptism in water. .was for salvation. Paul never commanded it

  39. Bob McKay says:

    .

  40. Lawrence Gough says:

Well when you start a protest that starts over 30,000+ denominations breaking away from Christ’s original church and each one thinks different TRUTHS are coming from the same HOLY Spirit it should come as no surprise.

  41. Skarlet Pike says:

    Fringe heresy.

  44. Tamera Lewan says:

Please read Romans 6. We are buried with Christ at Baptism, following Jesus, what Jesus did while He was on the earth in bodily form. We are raised with Jesus to New Life I Christ. When a person is immersed, they are buried with Christ in Baptism, & coming out of the water, raised with Christ from the dead.

  45. Tamera Lewan says:

    In Christ
