The sweet smile is definitely holy adornment!

Are old time COG folks obsessed with Bob. I feel sorry for guys named Bob who hear preaching against bobbed hair ear bobs while stepping on Bobby pins.

  3. Charles Page says:

It was once called Robert Hair then with familiarity it was changed to Bobbed hair. Now women are uni-sexual and can wear their hair like men and men likewise. The Bible has been tossed and replaced with modern heart felt religion of eastern thought.

  4. Levi Chavis says:

And vise versa, men want to wear their hair like women even though God’s Word says that it’s shameful. I don’t get it…

  5. Ken Savage says:

I thought Jesus was described in historical writings as having long hair….and a beard. Most men did in that time period.

  6. Charles Page says:

why would Paul say it is a shame for a man to have long hair?

Well lets see….I Corin.11:2 Paul enters into the dialogue with his opening remark to set the order for the text of this writing as “ordinances.” (Gr. paradosis) meaning Jewish traditional law. Not law or command, but tradition. I have never found a witness to this writing, or no one to confirm this as command. what do you think? Witness meaning “In the mouth of two or three witnesses…..”

  8. No way! Would I ever join a ma!e chauvinistic group. I love short hair and long hair makes older women look twice as old. The neckline on my clothes is for my comfort not for people who are living in the Old Testament.

  9. But she is wearing a necklace. She must not have been CoG.

  10. Lahry Sibley says:

Mat_5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

That’s “red letter” commandment. The woman who dresses to allure men, has already committed adultery in her heart. The idea of wearing a low neckline because it is “comfortable, insults my intelligence. You know very well why you like those kinds of clothes.
And what if Charles Paige wore a very low cut shirt? What would you have to say about him? Would you think he was a liar if he told you it was for his personal comfort?
Why don’t you just admit it, that what you want to wear has nothing to do with obedience to the MESSIAH and everything to do with dressing for allurement. REPENT.

  11. Link Hudson says:

Why does a low neckline feel more comfortable? I don’t get it? What about shorts where one’s hind end sticks out? Are those more comfortable than cargo shorts, too?

  12. Lahry Sibley says:

Once the bar is lowered, there are no limits. People have an excuse for everything.

  13. Hogwash, legalism.

I believe The Bible is Truth in every aspect: in its writings and meaning. But the Logos has to be rightly divided in the volume of it’s entirety (Psa 40:7, Heb. 10:7). They once called Paul a “seed picker” implying he just gathered bits and pieces of info to tell his story. Untrue as it was, we can be too quick to spit out untested words as well? The Word is Truth for those who are willing who will seek and search it out for themselves, and not just accept what grandpa believed. Fact is, revelation should accompany the writings. As so, in Matt. 11:18, they said that John Baptist had a devil. It is true that they said it, but not true that he was possessed with one. As well in Paul’s writings. He spoke for the Lord for the most part and spoke for himself at other times. To those at Corinth Paul instructed them by different means of communication . He once quoted a poet in Acts 17:28. He spoke by permission and not by commandment in (1 Corin. 7:6), and once he describes his forthcoming statement as not of the Lord, but himself (1 Corin. 7:12). I believe from experience that the problem with interpretation is not wanting to step out of the boat, fearing we may sink. Are we afraid that our so-called faith may be called into question? If our faith is truly sound, it will stand the test…..and grow, as in the parable of the mustard seed that produced strong branches for others to gather on. The beauty of the “Word” is it’s power to transform and create new life and perspective. That is done when The veil is lifted. This is what the world truly needs…strong men and women of sound doctrine and solid faith.I don’t want to be playing the violin as Rome burns to the ground. Do you? Just wanted to share some things important to me. Feel free to comment. Have a blessed evening.

  15. If people would spend more time praying and less time arguing about what they perceive as biblical truth they and the world would be beget off. I only have to answer for myself to God and not to man.
