The Lord can support Himself. He can do absolutely anything. Who could do that ?

  3. Fabio Arruda says:

    Jesus is God

    John 1:1-3
[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] The same was in the beginning with God. [3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

    John 1:14-15,17
[14] And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. [15] John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. [17] For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

    1 Timothy 3:16
[16] And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

    Titus 2:13-14
[13] Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; [14] Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Verse 14 confirms that verse 13 is not speaking about 2 persons

    John 8:58
[58] Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

    Refer to…..
    Exodus 3:14
[14] And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

    John 10:33,38 KJV
[33] The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
[38] But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
Jews confirm Jesus claimed to be God.

    John 10:30
[30] I and my Father are one.

    John 14:10
[10] Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

    John 17:5
[5] And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
*In the Old Testament God says….

    Isaiah 42:8
[8] I am the Lord : that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

    John 14:6-9
[6] Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. [7] If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. [8] Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. [9] Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then , Shew us the Father?

    Philippians 2:5-6
[5] Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: [6] Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

    John 20:27-28
[27] Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. [28] And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus speaking to Thomas

    Acts 7:59-60
[59] And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God , and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. [60] And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep. Stephen calls upon Jesus as God

    Old Testament
    Isaiah 7:14
[14] Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
-Immanuel or Emmanuel means “God with us” in Hebrew

[12] Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.

    Jesus said…..
    Revelation 1:8
[8] I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

    Revelation 1:17-18
[17] And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
[18] I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. (Jesus claims he resurrected)

    Revelation 22:13
[13] I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

    Revelation 2:8
[8] And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; (Jesus claimed he resurrected)

    Confirmation of What Jesus said…..

    Revelation 21:6-7
[6] And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. [7] He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Before Abraham was I am. – Jesus

  5. Raja Anand says:

“Is Jesus really God?” or “Is Jesus God in the flesh?” then the answer would be “Yes—Jesus is fully divine. He has all the attributes of God” (see Colossians 2:9).

  6. C.J. Bouril says:

    …with the Bible!

  7. Bo Nelson says:

There have been some great suggestions with the most important element: Scriptures. The word of God is sharper than any two edged sword. Know it, deliver it, and trust God to do the cutting.

No man can come to know/see Christ as God unless God opens their eyes, and He uses His word to do so.

  8. PDel Cotnab says:

  15. Philip Brunner says:

As much as I’m into apologetics, I’d say the strongest argument for Christ’s deity is a life lived in service of him through faith and love. I mean the faith that keeps you stable during crisis, love that no atheist could muster and confidence that people desire. I find, being consistently reliable, steadfast, dependable, honorable, full of integrity, and loving others unconditionally, has been the loudest and most persuasive argument I have ever used.

  17. Mark Beecher says:

Then Moses said to God, “If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what shall I say to them?” God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and thus I AM to be remembered throughout all generations.” (Exodus 3:13–15)

John 6:51:”I AM the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever;”

John 8:23: And He said to them, “You are from beneath; I AM from above. You are of this world; I AM not of this world.

John 8:12: Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I AM the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

John 8:58 Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

John 10:9: “I AM the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.”

John 10:11: “I AM the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.

John 10:36: “do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I AM the Son of God’?

John 11:25: Jesus said to her, “I AM the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.

John 14:6: Jesus said to him, “I AM the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

John 15:1: “I AM the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.

John 19:2: Therefore the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but, ‘He said, “I AM the King of the Jews.”‘”

Acts 7:32: Stephen speaking of Moses’ encounter at the burning bush “saying, ‘I AM the God of your fathers– the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ And Moses trembled and dared not look.”

Acts 9:5: And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” And the Lord said, “I AM Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”

Rev 1:1: The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,

2 who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw.
3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.
4 John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne,
5 and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood
6 and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
7 Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen.
8 “I AM the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
9 I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.
10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet
11 saying, “Write what you see in a book and send it to the seven churches, to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.”
12 Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands,
13 and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest.
14 The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire,
15 his feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters.
16 In his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword, and his face was like the sun shining in full strength.

17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I AM the first and the last.

John 5:14-18: “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.”
The man departed and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well. For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill Him, because He had done these things on the Sabbath. But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.” Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.

John 10:30-33: I and My Father are one.”
Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?” The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.”

It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son. (Revelation 21:6,7, insertion mine) We learn from this verse that Jesus, “the Alpha and the Omega” and “the Beginning and the End,” declares Himself to be God!

“For this reason the Jews tried all the harder to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.” (John 5:18) The second passage affirms that Jesus considered Himself equal with the Father.

Jesus said, “Anyone who has seen me, has seen the Father. . . .” (John 14:9)

The mutual surrender between equals is mentioned by Jesus several times: “Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? . . . Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe [my testimony] on the evidence of the miracles themselves.” (John 14:10,11, insertions mine)

  18. Robert Duncan says:

Jesus was worshipped. This is proof the original disciples/Apostles thought he was God. As Jews the Apostles would not worship something/someone other then Yahweh. Therefore Jesus is Yahweh! For reference you can see Matthew 14:22-33

  19. Richard Spence says:

Don’t worry/stress over this; but I’m not saying to not try. Just speak the truth, and plant the seeds.
Here’s a quote I read this morning: “The credentials of Christ can be seen by all who care to see. The more light that is given, the harder the human heart must become to reject it.” (EWL).
Sometimes we have to leave it to the Holy Spirit to spread the light. Those that choose not to hear/see will not accept the reasoning of others. L&P

  20. David Jaywant says:

Simply pray. He will guide you. Without His will its impossible. You cannot convince any one by arguing.

  21. Joshua Gideon says:

Always use God’s scriptures because Jesus Christ is the Word (John 1:1,14) and the Word is living (Hebrews 4:12). When we evangelize to others (Matthew 28:19) we need to always remember Jesus Christ Words is first (Bible) and our words are second. I have seen to many times when people try win a discussion at all cost in there own words and neglect pointing people to the power of God’s scriptures to save a soul (Luke 12:20). Use all of God’s scriptures for God’s complete truth to win a soul for the glory of Jesus Christ?.

  22. Colin Green says:

This verse supports your argument, as it reveals that Jesus is Thomas’s God. John 20:28:

Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”

  23. Jo Jo says:

Most of the time people cant understand us because they are blinded. They dont have the Holy Spirit who opens the mind& hearts. We just have to be more understanding and be patient with them. The bible said we cannot really know him if we dont seek him with all our heart. How great is the mysteries of the Lord (1 Tim 3:16).
But if you want to use Scripture:
Check out this website http://www.scepterofjudah.net & click on Isreali King Emmanuel. It listed Old Testament & New Testament scripture related to Jesus.

  24. RT Junior Khouchung says:

I will give you two biblical truth supporting the deity of Christ.

    * He forgives sin Matt. 9: 2. The idea is no man can forgive sin only God can. So, if Christ can forgive sin, He is God.

**. Thy Throne Oh God Heb. 1: 8. In this verse God the Father is the speaker and He is speaking to the Son saying “Oh God.” So, Christ is God.

  25. Emmanuel Scott says:

Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.”
    John 8:58 ESV

  26. Epi Eden Timothy says:

    Go back to the scripture
    Carefully please

  27. Luis Chvz says:

With the Holy Ghost no amount of scripture can convince anyone unless the Holy Ghost bears testimony of its truthfulness

  28. Chris Mabe says:

John says that Jesus was making himself equal with God but calling Him His own Father.

But He answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I Myself am working.” For this reason therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God.

  29. Catherine Casey says:

    What does the Bible say?

    1. John 10:30 The Father and I are one.

    2. Philippians 2:5-6 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to.

    3. John 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

    4. John 1:18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.

    5. Colossians 2:9-10 For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily. and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.

    Jesus claimed to be God.

    6. John 10:33 “We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.”

    7. John 5:18 This was why the Jews were seeking all the more to kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

    Jesus is the Word.

    8. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

    9. John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Jesus Christ is the only way into Heaven.

    10. 1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

    11. Romans 10:13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

    I am He

    12. John 8:57-58 The people said, “You aren’t even fifty years old. How can you say you have seen Abraham?” Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I Am!”

    13. John 8:22-24 This made the Jews ask, “Will he kill himself? Is that why he says, ‘Where I go, you cannot come’?” But he continued, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. 24 I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins.”

    14. John 13:18-19 “I am not referring to all of you; I know those I have chosen. But this is to fulfill this passage of Scripture: ‘He who shared my bread has turned against me.’ “I am telling you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe that I am who I am.

First and Last: There’s only one God

    15. Isaiah 44:6 Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: “I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god.

    16. 1 Corinthians 8:6 Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.

    17. Revelation 2:8 “And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: ‘The words of the first and the last, who died and came to life.

    18. Revelation 1:17-18 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last, and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.

Only God can be worshiped. Jesus was worshiped.

    19. Matthew 2:1-2 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”

  31. Ian Self says:

No one can reveal God to man but God, if you see Jesus you see God, trust God also trust me, he forgave sins, no one goes to the father except through jesus, they worshiped him on the boat, Thomas said my lord and my God, none of which Jesus rebuked because he is God in person. And the word is God, Jesus is the word he spoke and created everything without him nothing was made

  35. Billy Hughes says:

First of all, I would establish common ground to agree on:
    (1) does the person agree that God exits?
    (2) if so, does the person accept the validity and veracity of the bible?
    (3) if so, point out the scriptures that equate Jesus with God, especially those in which Jesus Himself declares Himself to be God.
    (4) something important to remember is that it is not your job to convince anyone of Jesus’ Godhood. Your job, and my job, is to present the truth. If anyone accepts the truth and gives their life to Jesus, the credit and glory don’t go to us, they go to the Holy Spirit. And if anyone rejects the good news, that is not on us, if we have been obedient to share the truth. That is between that person and God. All of the pressure is off of us to save anyone. We are, however, totally responsible to study to be as informed and ready as we can to share the hope that lies within us. So, bottom line, all we have to do is be obedient to share the Word, to grow in the Word, and trust the Lord for the harvest. ():0)

  40. Gina Draker says:

Start with Jesus. He made the claim! Not only that, but He said after they’d kill him that He would arise from the dead on the third day – and He did!
So let’s start looking at the claim that Jesus was incarnate God.
In John 5:18 Jesus’ enemies react to Jesus’ claims that he was equal with the Father.
    In Matthew 17:5; Mark 1:0-11; Luke 3:22
God the Father claims Jesus as His Son (which means Jesus is of the sameness of God the Father in essence and nature and sharing Deity).
In Luke 1:35 we find the Angel Gabriel announcing Jesus as God’s Holy Son! And Luke 2:11 the Angels of Heavenly Hosts proclaiming to the Shepherds the birth of God’s Holy Savior!
Turning to John 1:1;14 we have the Apostle John calling Jesus God!
The disciples in the New Testament call Jesus God! As well as the demons who are cast out by Christ!
We also can look to predictive prophecy about Christ’s coming in the Old Testament record, too! The prophets call the Christ God in such titles as in Isaiah 7:14 “Immanuel”, 9:6 “Mighty God”,
    “everlasting Father”,”Prince of Peace”; 32:1 “Righteous King”;
43:1 “Divine Servant”; 53:1 “Arm of the Lord”; 63:1 “Mighty Savior”, to name but a few titles reserved for God alone! Not only titles or names for God, but in the very attributes of God, by acts, power, authority, and claiming all rights of God – healing the sick, giving sight to the blind, making the lame to walk, raising the dead back to life, forgiveness of sins, and accepting worship as God.
You see this is just the tip of the reasons the Jewish authorities wanted to kill him – because Jesus claimed He was God.

  49. John Cordaro says:

That would be very easy using English Bibles translated by trinitarian translators, but it is impossible using the Hebrew and Greek texts. Just believe Yeshua’s own words when he calls his Father “the only true God”.
