In the Gospel of Matthew Jesus said, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” He goes on to say “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

How many of you think you will be the very “few” the will enter glory? What is his will for your life? And are you doing the will of the Father?

Remember not everyone who confess him will enter heaven.

For me, I deserve only hell and condemnation for my role in the fall of humanity.

Firstly, creating a doctrine out of one verse is not to be done. Nor is it using one verse out of context. I believe most here would know of the doctrine of salvation. Is this talking about salvation or after coming to Christ? About living as a Christian? So do you live as a Christian to your destruction? Destruction of your purpose! Destruction of your marriage etc.

Of course, God gave other counsel besides warnings about the challenge of becoming a Christian. He also promised those who did commit to this way of life, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5).

I would like to paste many salvation texts here. Such as being sealed in Christ. The road to sanctification is tough. But we press on towards the prize.
