J.H. Ingram sailed from the Los Angeles-Long Beach harbor on February 18, 1936. His 7-month “Golden Jubilee Tour” celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Church of God took him to 31 countries, bringing many into the Church of God and inspiring members and ministers back home to obey the Great Commission. His legacy inspires the FINISH Commitment.
This was my home port when I was in the Navy. I wish I had known Bro. Ingram had sailed from here. From here you can visit lots of places. At least I am connected in some way. I am glad too known that he was a sailing man as he carried the Gospel. I would like to read more information about him if it is available.
