  1. Daniel Ho says:

We are justified by faith alone but faith needs to move us to righteous work. But good deeds are the result of our faith, not the cause of it.

Note: we are saved by faith alone, faith should motivate us to righteousness. Otherwise our faith is useless

  2. Jenny Tressler says:

Faith alone yes. And how do we show our faith? By trusting in His commandments and results and walking in them in good faith. We obey because we have faith and we love Him. If we don’t obey or trust in His results, we don’t have faith. We will still sin, but we will not be okay with sin and staying in our old habits. That is we will not will to sin. The sin will be habit from the flesh.

You can earn you’re earthly rewards but not eternal life .

  5. Richard Spence says:

One needs an adequate understanding of GRACE.
Most only deal with the concept of the grace that forgives/forgiveness. The Grace that we receive from/in/with the Holy Spirit is the power of Grace that enables us to change from the old person into the Born Again new one. L&P

    Calvinism is not Biblical

  7. Bernadette Zabarte Abuda says:

Our good works are just the byproduct of our salvation. You don’t put the cart before the horse. Now, knowing what the “good works” are under God’s standard/guidelines is another story.

  8. David Huckabay Jr says:

Faith produces good works. Romans 4, Paul writes that Abraham was credited to his account as righteous, and this was before the Law. In verse 11 it says he received circumcision as a SIGN as a seal of the righteousness he had been credited with on the grounds of his faith while uncircumcised. This shows that through his faith, he was obedient, which produces good works.

  9. Biru Rai says:

Yes, according to Ephesians 2:8-9. I am not saved by my good works but saved to do good works.I am very blessed and pleased with this. ☺️

    Absolutely !

  33. Kristina Johnson says:

Humility is key. It’s not what WE do but what we allow God to do in us and through us. Without humility, we are not fit for the kingdom. For even demons have faith – they believe; yet they chose pride over humility.

  35. Theodore A. Jones says:

“For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous.” Romans 2:13

  36. Terence Sowers says:

Predestination or being called by God is from God through the Gospels, Peter’s. James’s, Jude’s and Paul’s writings. Unless you consider their writings not from God. Calvin was just reading scripture and telling the world. So, to say predestination or being called by God is not Biblical is someone not really studying scripture for truth.

    Bless you all.

  37. Wayne Dodd says:

In context our righteousness in the matter of self justification counts nothing. But don’t deceive yourself by misunderstanding the context. Our walking in the righteousness of Christ that He has given has eternal consequences.

  38. Michael Woitaszewski says:

So, no need to repent? No need to confess Jesus as Lord? No need to be baptized into Christ’s name? You’re cutting out a bunch of other scriptures to hold to this perspective!!!

  39. Bob Francis says:

Yes we are saved by faith alone, but not by a faith that is alone. Christian’s have to bear fruit in agreement with their profession of faith.

  40. Blake Cowle-Healy says:

Sounds like Mormon doctrine, “after all you can do”

  41. Aaron Armond Zendejas says:

So do you need to repent?

  42. Bob Corbett says:

My favorite verses are Ephesians 2:8,9. a lot there.

  43. Ezra Pound says:

Yes but we were also given a job to do, and based on our efforts will determine our rank in the coming kingdom.

  44. Elizabeth Fugitt Salvatore says:

Amen. Nothing we can do is going to impress God with our non existant awesomeness. LOL those who think we can is living as a legend in only their mind. Those who trust works to save them, have not relied on or trust Jesus to have saved them

  45. Rick Guido says:

What about obedience don’t we have to obe

  48. Jennifer Humphries says:

But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
    Titus 3:4‭-‬7 NASB

    Doesn’t God alone saves?

  49. Ronald D. Jacutin says:

    True…
