The first Church of God female commissioned military officer, Gloria Tyner Bun, received her commission as an Air Force chaplain candidate on December 16, 1998. Dr. Robert Crick, director the Church of God’s Chaplain’s Commission, administered the oath at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary in Cleveland, TN. A military hospital in Bagdad has been among her fields of service.
