Proof texting is dangerous if you ignore it’s immediate context. Then its setting within the whole of Scripture. Work to know of all of Scripture as a whole and the faith as a whole. And that is where a good book on theology comes in. God wants us to continue in his word that we may know the truth, his truth.

use hermenitucits-rules of interpretation they usually solve the apparent contradiction. context, word meaning, other verses , logic, realize that God cannot contradict himself so if there seems to be one it is in our interpretation or translation.
