Trying to associate moves of God today with the Kundalini spirit is the same thing as the Pharisees calling the miracles of Jesus the hand of Beelzebub.

Hi David I think the problem is due to fear and superstition, I was reading John Wesley’s journals and he experienced all the shaking, people failing down a lot and the crying out, but along with this were many physical healing’s and deliverance’s. I think the problem is that most organised religion just want everything to be organised and to be orderly with no drama at all. What a difference to the day of Pentecost where the locals thought that the disciple of Jesus were drunk, yes they spoke in tongues but I think perhaps there was much more was going on than just tongues. All the famous revivals seem to have included these manifestations i.e falling down, shaking, whether it be standing or on the floor, crying out, weeping along with healing’s and deliverance’s. Because a lot of people in organised religion are used to being in churches where the spirit is not manifesting its power and these things are not taking place they become religious, so when the Spirit does move or manifest you get a very negative attitude from them. Wesley came up against this attitude all the time because of the manifestation’s of the Spirit during his outdoor services, some attributed the manifestations to emotionalism or evil spirits or even the devil himself which is a very dangerous accusation to make in light of scripture. I think about the Toronto blessing as its known many people said and still say the same thing about this. Most people in organised religion have probably never witnessed a deliverance or a healing and these things can be dramatic and noisy. Personally I would rather allow the Spirit of God to do whats He wants to. For if we do not then we will not experience the benefits He brings the healing’s he brings and people being touched by God that need to be, I believe without these things religion is just a tradition of truth words with no power to back up there being true. Jesus said to the people “if you don’t believe me” then at least believe because of the works. Also Jesus commissioned his disciples not just the twelve but seventy to do the same works he did. So, it was not just the apostles that healed and delivered and did miracles. We find Stephen and Phillip in the book of Acts doing wonderful miracles these were just disciples of the Apostles and not the disciples of Jesus himself. in fact these guys were table waiters in the book of Acts commissioned by the Apostles to wait on tables. Matt, this is a huge topic that goes back to the ’40s and the “Latter Rain” revival. You need to do some research before making that statement. The passing of this so called “anointing” from one false teacher to the next from then until the current times is a geneological homework assigmment you need to do.

Kundalini spirit?

As a person who used to teach kundalini yoga…. it looks the exact same as what it happening in Bethel Church in Redding, Ca. Look at videos side by side. There is nothing holy about losing self control. Self control is a fruit of the Spirit. The Spirit would never manifest in such chaotic ways. These things are demonic.
That being said, we had to read the Vedas in yoga teacher training. We were told that things like psychic phenomena, seeing spirits, loss of control over our bodies, were all base things that we needed to be strong enough to resist. We were told if we couldn’t resist them, that we were weak and too much in our egos. I realize it’s all pagan, strange fire, demonic activity now. Praise God I have been rescued!!!

Just because things happen in cults that look similar doesn’t make it of the devil, people. Satan is the counterfeiter. He takes the real thing and fakes it or makes a counterfeit of it.
Simple -
Satan can only do what he can do. He can imitate the Holy Spirit but he is evil so he cannot produce the fruits of the Holy Spirit and the effects of his so-called annointing always wear off and leave people worse off than they were before and searching for another hit of whatever he’s peddling to them. Really people, do some research, the number of strong believers I personally know who have been seduced by this stuff and eventually fallen away from the faith is very high!! The true Holy Spirit will lead us into truth and point us to Jesus of Nazareth. The false holy spirit of the Hindu tradition that these people are tapping into leads them away from truth and into panentheism. They are being taught to believe that the bible is not the final authority, that Jesus gave up his divinity when he became a man, that the thoughts they themselves have are equal to scripture, that they can manipulate events with their mind’s activity. Yes, God still does miraculous signs and wonders today but we must discern which spirit is in action in every different situation. We need to be good bereans and back everything we hear and see with scripture or we will be deceived as the bible says that even the elect would be deceived in the end times if that were possible. Everyone who uses the name of Jesus is not a true christian. This is a fact that is documented in scripture. There are many false christs being peddled to unsuspecting people right now because they are not using their God-given gifts of discernment.
