A girl goes from rags to riches. Each one of us today shares a similar story with Romans5: 1-10 is that story for us. See, we were once enemies of God. Now I want everyone to think about that for a minute. You were an enemy. There’s nothing that is special about any of us that ” God needed me. He looked down and seen something special that I could bring.”. NO. The truth is God doesn’t need us. He said that if we don’t praise Him, that the rocks will.
There’s nothing we bring to the table. Nothing we can do. Salvation is a gift. Remember we were His enemy. “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.”
Because of this, I have perseverance, because of this
I have proven character, and because of that I have hope. Each and everyone of us, was lost and without hope. Each one of us were enemies of God. Even while we were His enemies, He still paid that price for us. To keep His wrath from being poured out on us. For the fact that He wanted a relationship with each of us.
If we’re still thinking we can do this on our own, that it is God who need(ed) us. Then I beg you to really do some self reflecting today.
