I disagree with it based on the biblical grounds that it is against YHWH’s intended functional design, like all other sin. Still love the people and hope and pray for them to come to Christ and have regenerated hearts so they may be my brethren also ???

As in treating people right, of course. But we don’t affirm or advocate sin and sinful lifestyles.

Sin is sin, the only cure is to ask forgiveness and repent. Trying to justify any sin aside from God’s prescribed manner is not Christianity. Normalizing what God said is sin is open hostility toward God.

The Bibles take is that it is sin. Unfortunately many main line christian churches follow what they feel is good instead of the Bible. That said, they are are to loved and reached out to as we would any other unsaved sinner. Hate the sin, not the sinner.

Christ loves them, He would have a meal with them and if they seek Him He will not turn them away. He is faithful even when we are not. They need prayer and love…that is our calling.

Like any other unrepentant sinner, they are in open rebellion against God, and headed for destruction. In short, they need someone to expose the truth about sin, it’s repercussions, the love of God, the sacrifice of His Son at Calvary, the meaning of the cross, their need to repent, and put their faith in Jesus. They need someone to do this in a kind, gentle, and loving manner.

Homosexuality is NOT like any other sin. No other sin seeks to be so normalized in the public square. No other sin seeks to be a protected class by law. No other sin seeks to rewrite education and rewire our children. No other sin claims to love so much, yet manifests such hate toward anyone who dare stand against it. I have seen no thief, no murderer, no rapist, no adulterer, no liar, no addict, etc…militantly propagating and promoting their deviance in every avenue of life. No other sin has its own flag and its own month. No, this sin is different. This sin seeks to divide and conquer. This sin seeks to silence all those who would oppose. This sin is the biggest bully on the block. The only cure….Jesus. They need to be told the gospel and to repent, like every other sinner.

Jesus would make friends with them and go and dine with them in order to win them over to the kingdom.
Jesus would say things like ‘I maybe in the world but not of the world’ when being questioned.

‘What is Christianity’s take’ is not at all the same as ‘what does the Bible say.’ Christianity’s take is confusingly manifold, what the Bible says is helpfully specific.

Homosexuality is just like any other sexual sin. It damns the soul. The good news is that there is deliverance and forgiveness in Jesus Christ.

The word of God is truth and Bible is very clear that people who do not abstain for sexual immorality will not enter the kingdom of God if they habitually sin.

LGBTQ is a rebellion against God, but just as all others, God loves us, and if we repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, He can separate our sins from us as far as the East is from the West ❤️

In response to some “no different than any other sin” comments, I would say that the difference is the way the sin is celebrated. No other sin is celebrated like homosexuality, and no other sin leads to such hatred towards Christ. Tell a person that theft is wrong, then tell another person that homosexuality is wrong. See the difference in the responses.
The most important point here is pride. No other sin leads to pride as much as homosexuality. We can’t submit ourselves to Jesus while prideful.

LGBTQ is demonic deception and when this behavior is rampant within American society it is a tell-tale sign of God’s wrath-curse upon a people who are living in rebellion to God’s edicts and His Covenants as seen in the mutilation of 61-million babies in the womb subsequent to Roe/73.

They need to repent just like all sinners.
Repenting means to turn away from your sin and turn back to God. -
First I have to say that’s an awesome profile picture. Second, this answer is fairly long but I hope it helps.
Biblically speaking, we know God is all knowing, God is Perfect, and God is Love. This means God knows what is best, can lead only do what is best, and wants us to enjoy what is best. So knowing God cannot make mistakes, then we can know His good design is just that, good. In God’s design, there are only two genders and they are determined by chromosomes at reproduction, male and female. Marriage is a lifetime commitment between one man and one woman built on love. Sex is meant to only take place in that marriage covenant, so only between one man and one woman. And probably the most important thing is our identity. Our identity is not found in the gender of the person we are in a relationship with, because that’s finding your identity in another flawed human being. It is not found in desires and feelings which are fleeting. It isn’t even found in one particular sin we commit. Our identity is either in Christ or outside of Christ, and to be in Christ we must have faith in Him alone for salvation and forgiveness of sins. We receive a new identity, and as the Bible says over and over, we are being conformed into the image if Christ, and we are not our own. The bottom line is humanity cannot be satisfied unless we are in a restored relationship with our Creator through Christ. So understanding all of this, the LGBTQ+ community actually doesn’t have any real ground, not for identity or for activity. And as Christians, we are called to share the Gospel with any and everyone, not excluding anyone from hearing the Gospel because Christ died for all and does not will for anyone to perish. Can you be a gay Christian? No, you can be a Christian who struggles with homosexual desires/sins, but your identity is not in the sin, it is only in Christ. Will someone immediately lose those desires if they are saved? Maybe, sometimes there are sins we will never fully be rid of until Jesus calls us home. But we are called to repent, and we are called to fight sin tooth and nail in our own lives, and like Billy Sunday said, “gum it to death” when we are old and have no teeth. Where we are weak, God is made strong. If we don’t give in to sinful desires, this reinforces our testimony to the world.

If they’re Christian, then we are told to judge them righteously & rebuke. It’s the most loving thing we (as Christians) can do.

Any sexual relation outside of marriage between male and female is sinful, lust included. Some christians struggle with SSA (same sex attraction) this is not sinful if lust isn’t present. We must point all people to the truth of the Word, that sexual relations have always been intended for marriage. We mustn’t soften the truth, we also must encourage out of love and love alone! There are a lot of christians who struggle with SSA and often feel condemned, as fellow brothers and sisters we must point to the cross, repentance, and truth!

The blood of Jesus can free a man from the power and bondage of Sin and Help man walk uprighty in the ways of God. Once a man is born again, his or her old life is passed, all things become new. There is hope for all sinners or all types. Gay, murderer, any sinner can be forgiven and set free from the bondage of sin. The good news of God is that He helps us escape hell because of the atonement of Christ freely by His favour upon a man or woman when believing. O the riches of the mercies of God in Christ Jesus. Freely by His blood. Without Christ is no redemption from Sin and forgiveness. Much grace and peace! 🙂

Against the Word of God. God is pretty clear on the topic, whether people wanna hear it or not. God is against it and it is a sin. No hate towards them. Love them like any other brother or sister in Christ but sorry supporting it should not be something, Christians should be doing. You can’t be Christian and homosexual. Its the way it is. Love them as Jesus would but doesn’t mean supporting it or being a part of it is ok.

I am finding it impossible to keep up with all the comments so apologise if someone has already made this point. Jesus made the definitive statement on this issue, contrary to what people insist.
In Matthew’s gospel he is asked about divorce, a favourite question among those trying to catch him out. His reply addresses everything being discussed here:
‘Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female.’ (That settles the transgender issue)
‘and said, “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh?” So they are no longer two but one flesh’ (That answers questions of polygamy, polyandry, and homosexuality)
What therefore God has joined together let no man separate’ (That addresses divorce)

First we should start with some of the basic principles of a proper Christian anthropology. Whatever our temptation we need to resist and not excuse. This is part of what it takes to take up ones cross and follow Jesus. On biblical discussion we need to literally know how to rightly divide the word of truth. When someone says “Yeah, well according to the Bible we are not supposed to eat bacon. Do you eat bacon?” This is where we need to explain that civil and ceremonial laws in Moses ordered that for the pedagogical nature of preparing us for Jesus as the pure Lamb of God. But there is a third category in the moral law. The Ten Commandments and its implications are tied to diviner’s and natural law that goes beyond Moses and the sojourn through the centuries of Israel. Among those laws are “you shall not commit adultery”. What does that have to do with LGBTQ? It is where Jesus comes in. He does not name each kind of sexual behavior nor post-modern “personal gender truth”. When asked about someone being able to divorce his wife for any reason (with the implication of then being able to remarry) he points further back than Moses. He says “It was not so in the beginning. He points to the correct design like how a Secret Service agent can point to real currency rather than 50 kinds of counterfeit. – – Matthew 19: 4 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’[a] 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’[b]? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
7 “Why then,” they asked, “did Moses command that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?”
8 Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. 9 I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.” Notice that he says “it was not so in the beginning”. Male and female with a multi-generational concept implied. You do not naturally make babies in a same sex relationship and “male and female he created them” flies in the face of gender revisionism.
