What is predestination and where is it referenced in the Bible?

Here are a few scriptures that reference predestination. There are quite a few but can’t list them all. 1 Corinth 1: 24-26. 2 Thess 2:13. Rom 8:28-30. John 15:16. 2 Peter 3:9. 2Tim 1:9. Acts 13:48. Eph 1:11-12. Eph 1:4. Rev 13:8. 1Peter 1:2. Matt 22:14. Gal 1:15. Titus 1:1. Eph 2: 8-9. John 15:19. John 6:39. Rom 9:15-16. There are many more.

I’ll give the other side Calvinist don’t like. 100% the Bible does say “predestined” many places. The Greek word used is προορίζω which means a combination of ‘predestined’ and ‘decreed’.
I’ll put it like this. The Bible has decreed that I should follow the laws of my nation. And my nation has decreed I should drive 65MPH. In fact my nation predestined and decreed that I should drive 65MPH by putting up signs.
I like to drive 75MPH. So what does this mean? Well if I am caught speeding I have to pay a fine. I have to own my decision and the consequences.
With salvation Arminianism says God predestined the whole of humanity for salvation, but we have to choose to love God (free will). We can only love God because God loves us first, so God gets the glory. If we choose not to love God we pay a fine aka hell.
Now I am sure someone will tell their view on doctrine of election and why it is scripturally correct (I won’t argue, because it is, but so is the Arminian view). If you really want your mind blow look up molinism and their views on predestination.
In the end if you love God because he predestined you… great. If you choose to love God because he loved you first… great. If you have Liberian free will and given the exact same circumstances, would not have loved God because of how his foreknowledge can’t affect choice, but this time do love God… great.
Who cares how salvation happens as long as it happens. What is important is Jesus and propitiation.

Also. It’s important not to confuse two different doctrines. Election and predestination are actually different.
Romans 8:29
For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren;Predestination is the conformation to the image of Jesus that is being accomplished for all believers and will be complete in eternity.
