Yes. There are many warnings about the possiblity. Largely because of self deception. We lie to ourselves. Our lives show the reality somewhat more.
No Ephesians 4:30 states we are sealed until the day of Redemption and in Ephesians 1:4 states we were predestined before the foundation of the world. Also in John 15:16 JESUS states we have not chosen him but HE chose us.

If one is truly born again by grace through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and they’ve received the indwelling Holy Spirit as the Seal and Guarantor of that relationship, they are secure forever in our Lord and no one can snatch them out of the hand of Messiah or the hand of the Father.

The writer of Hebrews says this. “For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.”

I just wanna make it sure to all the commentors that I believed Salvation cannot be lost. So, if you’re with me you can debate with the opposition.
If salvation can be lost, then it is works based.
I don’t believe a person is saved until the end of the race. People who are still alive can betray and turn from God. I’ve seen people who were on fire for God when young then completely reject Him later in life and do absolutely evil and perverted stuff.
Once saved always saved is false
In other words, those that return to sin without regret weren’t really saved. Once saved, the heart cannot return to the flesh without knowing it’s wrong, genuinely being remorseful for the sin and backsliding.
Those who fall away unto death were not truely saved to begin with … The election of God is sure

Hey RT, yes, I believe in eternal security in Christ alone, but I also believe it’s conditional upon remaining in Christ according to John 15:1-6. It’s a controversial issue among the church at large. But if we keep in context with the issue, we will find out that we can forfeit our salvation. Just take a look with fresh eyes on all of the admonitions, conditions, and warnings throughout the Scriptures that are directed to genuine Christians, especially in Hebrews. I would suggest using several translations of God’s Word to get a better understanding of the security of the believer. Blessings!
Your salvation cannot be taken from you, but you can give it up.
The scripture clearly states enduring Until the end. Not secure until the end. The only thing that can keep you from enduring is wilfully walking after the flesh with no repentance. Or black sliding. In order for you to get your name blotted out it has to already be there. So clearly you can be erased.

Many OSAS believers will say: if a person falls away from the faith, they were never born again to begin with. If that’s the case, none of them can tell who is REALLY born again, and who is not (since we are not all knowing). The truth is, we must ALL endure this race of faith in Christ until the end…

No. Once you have used your free will to believe in Jesus Christ your dead spirit is breathed to life by a sovereign act of Almighty God. You cannot make dead again, what God has made alive.
Absolutely it can be lost. Nearly every book in the New Testament warns against apostasy.
Eternally secure because the Lord Jesus Christ is the author of Salvation and it’s perfector too. He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption( John 10:18, Phil.1:6, Heb.9:12)

No. It is like a human being. Once you are born, you are a human being. It is the same when you are saved you are saved. Once you are born again, you can never be unborn. Once you are born, you are born. It doesn’t matter if your birth was a physical born or a spiritual birth. Once you are born again you become a new creation. What becomes a new creation, your spirit, which is who you really are. When you believe, God created a whole new you, meaning He created a spirit that is alove to Him. That can talk to Him; that is a baby Him. Your soul is being saved, we call this sanctification;. And your body so full of sin God will just give you a new one when you cross over into eternity, when you die. I just say that so you can understand me because Christians don’t die. The Bible says absent from the body; present with the Lord. In a wink of an eye, you will go from earth to heaven. It happens do fast you won’t even know you’re dead. Jesus says it best “Flesh gives birth to flesh and spirit gives birth to spirit. Just like you mother and father had sex and your mother gives birth to you and your become a person with a body, soul, and spirit who will always exist. It is the same way in the spirit. The Spirit, God is a Spirit, gives birth to you and your spirit, your new spirit because the spirit you were born with is spiritually dead, and your new spirit will always love in this life and the next, so you can’t lose your salvation. He preached a whole sermon series on this topic. It is at least 4 hours. I believe it is called Eternal Security. So once you are really saved, you are saved forever! You can’t lose it. How do you know you are really saved? The Bible says, whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. The. Bible also says in the same book and chapter, If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, (after you do that) you will be saved Romans 10: 9.
For practical purposes, what do you have to do and what are you not to do in order to remain saved. I think people who have never seen the wickedness of their hearts can say it can be lost. I know I would have lost it a long time ago if it was possible. The Bible teaches eternal security in many places in scripture
Salvation is the work of God alone so in it, you have permanent in-built security. Why would Christ die for men who could be lost again? There’s only one thing, you have to know in the first place if you are really, really saved. And you can only know that if you persevere in Him always. It seems like a catch 22 situation but there is an element of accountability. I believe this is what scripture teaches.
You cannot accidentally loose salvation but you have free will and if you turn from God we will not force you to come back. His Holy Spirit draws you with his love but you still choose. Remember he that endures till the end shall be saved.

To lose salvation, you must do something to save yourself. However, salvation is of God, and not man. Why do I believe we cannot lose our salvation? Here’s some questions to prove my point.
Why were the apostles sure that they would go to Heaven, even though they still had time to sin (2 Timothy 4:18, 1 Peter 5:1, 2 John 2-3)?
Why did the apostles want the believers to whom they wrote to be sure of their future in Heaven (Romans 5:9, 1 Corinthians 1:8, Philippians 3:20-21, 1 Peter 1:3-5, 5:4, 1 John 5:13, 2 John 2-3)?
Critics of eternal security argue that salvation depends on our present faith and our present behavior. Why, then, do the scriptures refer to people having salvation, or something associated with salvation, in the present because of a past faith or a past justification (Luke 7:50, Acts 19:2, Romans 5:1)? How is this possible if there isn’t a moment of faith in the past that results in our future salvation?
Why do the scriptures say that salvation is a free gift of God’s grace (Romans 3:24, 5:17, 6:23, Revelation 22:17)? If attaining salvation through works would contradict grace (Romans 4:4, 11:6), then how can maintaining salvation through works be consistent with grace? If I give you a car, and tell you that it’s a “free gift”, but then I send you monthly bills for it thereafter, was the car really a “free gift”?
Why does Paul write, “where there is no law, neither is there violation…For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law, but under grace” (Romans 4:15, 6:14), as well as emphasizing elsewhere that once a person becomes a Christian he is no longer under any law of works (Romans 5:13, 10:4, 1 Corinthians 6:12, Galatians 3:11-25)?
What is the “liberty” to which Paul and James refer (Galatians 2:4, Galatians 5:1, James 2:12)? If Christians are still in bondage to a law of works, and the sting of eternal death still remains in some sins, then how can a Christian have “liberty”, and how can “all things be lawful” to him (1 Corinthians 6:12)? Don’t Paul’s and James’ comments in these passages require that the Christian be free from all bondage of the law, not just some?
If some “really bad” sins cause the loss of salvation, while other sins don’t, as critics of eternal security tend to believe, then why do Paul and James say that a person would have to maintain a law of works perfectly in order to be saved by it, and that any violation of any aspect of that law makes a person guilty of violating the entire law (Galatians 3:10, James 2:8-10)?
If perfection is the standard that must be met in order to be righteous before God, as we know it is (Matthew 5:48), then how can anybody hope to attain to that standard through their own behavior (Romans 3:23)? If Christ’s perfect righteousness is imputed to us through faith (Romans 3:21-22, 4:5-6, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Philippians 3:9), then why would we need our own imperfect righteousness to be added to His perfect righteousness in order to have eternal life?
If assuring believers of their future in Heaven is wrong, because it encourages them to sin, as critics of eternal security suggest, then why did Jesus and the apostles repeatedly assure believers of their future in Heaven (Matthew 26:29, Luke 23:39-43, John 11:25, Romans 5:9, 1 Corinthians 1:8, Philippians 3:20-21, 1 Peter 1:3-5, 5:4, 1 John 5:13, 2 John 2-3)? Aren’t there motivations for keeping our faith, and for not sinning, aside from loss of salvation (Proverbs 22:5, John 14:23-24, Acts 17:31, Romans 5:5, 1 Corinthians 3:11-15, 2 Corinthians 5:14-17)?
If passages like 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 and Galatians 5:19-21 are lists of sins that cause the loss of salvation, as many critics of eternal security claim, then why do we see examples in scripture of people committing those sins, yet remaining saved (1 Corinthians 3:1-3, 11:17-32)? Don’t the examples of people committing these sins, yet remaining saved, necessitate that we acknowledge that passages like 1 Corinthians 6 and Galatians 5 are not about how Christians can lose salvation? Instead, aren’t they telling believers not to behave like the unregenerate, who prove that they won’t inherit eternal life by continually living in sin (1 Corinthians 6:11-12)? In other words, aren’t the unregenerate the ones who will not inherit eternal life, as opposed to believers who sometimes commit one of these sins not inheriting eternal life?
Doesn’t the man in 1 Corinthians 3:11-15, whose works are entirely bad, yet he’s saved, prove that what’s at stake as far as the Christian’s behavior is concerned is rewards in Heaven, not entrance to Heaven?
When passages like Ephesians 1:7 and Colossians 2:13-14 place no limits on which sins are forgiven, and tell us instead that Christ’s sacrifice covered all sins, on what basis can the critic of eternal security maintain that those who have trusted Christ are actually only forgiven of past sins and some future sins that “aren’t real bad”, while the “really bad” future sins remain uncovered?
If Jesus is the Intercessor for and Advocate of the believer only when the believer commits sins that “aren’t real bad”, as the critic of eternal security must maintain, then why do Hebrews 7:25 and 1 John 2:1 suggest no such limits? Why do these passages suggest instead that Christ is forever the Intercessor for and Advocate of the believer, no matter what sin has been committed?
If salvation could be lost, it couldn’t be regained (Hebrews 6:4-6). How, then, were people like David and Peter saved after committing sins such as adultery and denying Christ? If such sins aren’t bad enough to cause the loss of salvation, what would be?
Why does the book of the Bible that most often refers to salvation as a gift (Romans 3:24, 5:15, 5:16, 6:23, etc.) also tell us that the gifts of God are irrevocable (Romans 11:29)?
I don’t think anyone or anything can undo the effectiveness of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross.
The bible tells us that no one can take us out of the hands of God, but doesn’t say anything about us walking away from God and people do it all the time.
Then there is King Saul who was filled with the Spirit of God and ended up lost .

1 Peter1:5 (NLT) And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see.
In these words, Peter answered concerns that might have arisen in the minds of persecuted believers: Will we be able to endure and remain faithful to Christ if persecution becomes more intense? What good is an inheritance kept in heaven if we are not kept safe?
Peter explained that, in spite of persecution and even violent death, God, in his mighty power, will protect them. The word translated protect is a military term used to refer to a garrison within a city (see also 2 Thessalonians 3:3; Jude 1:24). It’s an inner area of protection. No matter how the world persecuted or killed believers’ bodies, God was guarding their souls. Peter gave a double-locked security for believers. First, the inheritance is protected (1 Peter 1:4); second, the believers are protected to receive that inheritance because they were trusting him.
Believers have already received salvation through their acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior, but the fullness of that salvation, its complete rewards and blessings, will be revealed on the last day—that is, the judgment day of Christ (see Romans 14:10; Revelation 20:11-15). What has started will be fully disclosed when he returns.
God will help us remain true to our faith through whatever difficult times we must face. We may have to endure trials, persecution, or violent death, but our souls cannot be harmed if we have accepted Christ’s gift of salvation. We know we will receive the promised rewards.
During the time of blood sacrifices, when a man brought a lamb to be slaughtered as a sin offering, the Priest examined the lamb that was brought to confirm that it was spotless and without blemish. The Priest did not examine the man, only the lamb.
Jesus is The Lamb, spotless, and without blemish, that has been offered for our sin.
You can believe that you must preserve your salvation through your own imperfect obedience.
Or you can trust, completely, in the perfect obedience of Christ.
That is what we are judged by.
Never it is eternal life not temporary life.
