Dear Bible-Believers,
Why do you believe God has a different way to measure sin than He already gave? Especially, if He mixed it together in the same scrolls of scripture and even within some chapters. Is He making random and arbitrary laws so that we run through meaningless hoops? I do not think that is His heart. His Law shows His character then, as it does now. Christ lived that character out, rightly applied to the situations of life. And His Holy Spirit in believing hearts, must certainly live out that same character in us. Test everything.

1 Thessalonians 5:21
but test everything; hold fast what is good.

Acts 17:11
Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.

Unless we are more righteous than the scribes and Pharisees we will not see the kingdom of heaven. I don’t think Jesus is talking about imputed righteousness, he was talking about obedience to his commandments…love God, and love your neighbor…but in thought as well as word and deed (hate = murder, lust = adultery). We do this very imperfectly and are constantly driven back to Jesus, who did it perfectly…sanctification is not completed in this life, but it certainly starts in this life.

What is loving God and your neighbor if not submission to God’s moral law? No, it cannot save us, yes we should obey it.

It is difficult to answer your question regarding the law if you do not specify what law you’re talking about. Personally I only concern myself with the law that is placed within the Ark of the Covenant, it is not about that box it is about with that box contains, the Ten Commandments all other laws replaced outside the Ark of the Covenant.
