What is your stand for 1 Tim 2:12 and 1 Cor 14:34-35.

In the Corinthian passage Paul is addressing the disorder which was disrupting the worship gatherings. One such issue was the matter of the women who were being boisterous and divisive. He wanted to bring order back to the times of teaching and worship. In 1 Timothy he addresses the issue of roles. In today’s culture we do not like hearing this. But God has given roles to each of us to fulfill within the church. I personally do not take this to mean that I, as a man, should not listen or learn from the wisdom of women. Paul is simply emphasizing the roles we perform within the church.

Both, including the rest of the Bible; a better question would be, what is God’s stand, rather than focusing on whatever our stand is!

My stance is the same stance I have on all Scripture I believe it it is the Eord of God and it means what it says
