What is your view of John MacArthur’s statement about people can be saved after taking the mark of the beast? Really trying to understand his statement.

I think the idea behind it is that it’s not listed as the unforgivable sin. So therefore forgivable.
OPINION: I’M STATING MY PERSONAL OPINION AND I AM NOT DECLAIRING IT AS BIBLICAL FACT:
ok. So I don’t believe the anti Christ is an individual person. I believe it is the Religion of man. Human secularism. The Bible states the time will come when you need the mark of the beast to by and sell. It is becoming increasingly harder to get employment without a degree from a humanistic secular university. So I’m guessing the mark is a secular education. That’s just my 2 cents.
He is a calvinist ?, can make some mistakes with interpretation. He has some good sermons, and i believe he is a strong man, but…as every calvinist…big misunderstandings in Scriptures. I am against every “ism”.
John is a strong opionated person with so called biblical back ups. That means that he is wrong most of the time.

Yes it’s a mistake, he’s allowed one surely.
In my opinion, the church is gone but there are others who have not heard the gospel who will be given the opportunity to believe when the 144,000 are let loose to testify to Israel.
By the time thiscis an issue, I believe the bride will be gone. People can refuse the mark and be unable to buy, sell or trade. One can refuse to receive.I believe salvation is possible up to getting marked but once marked it’s a done deal
I need the quote in context. Is he saying a Christian can take the mark and still go to heaven or is here saying than a nonbeliever can take the mark and then become a Christian?
It seems John must be wrong. there is no salvation for someone who takes the mark of the beast. read the warning of the angles.
I think he is very wrong on that point
i heard this was taken out of context. or something an that was years ago but i don’t listen to him anymore .
the mark of the beast is a juxtaposition of the Seal of the Spirit.
I think this answer your question
Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”
Revelation 14:9-11 NKJV
Very good and interesting question. I completely understand and agree with the bible (not that I’m that much of an influence to decide about God’s word). But I wonder since judgement isn’t done until after death, if someone takes the mark and regrets it and has a serious change of heart, will they still go to hell even if their heart is changed and they accept Christ? Some will pounce on this and I agree with the verse of Revelation that Ivy Joyner Jones quotes, but I don’t think it addresses everything. I think that quote is very factual for those who died/cross into eternity with absolutely no regard for God, but even if you have the mark, but then get saved, I think God really sees that change. That specific scenario is not mentioned in the scriptures. If that applies to atheists now (that hell doesn’t apply until the moment of death in the life of an unbeliever), than why wouldn’t it apply then as well?
Either way it’s not biblical.
There is no chance for salvation if you take the mark. The warning in Rev.14 is clear. There is no salvation after the church is raptured either. That’s when the wrath of the Lamb is poured out on the world. The 144,000 are the 12 tribes of Israel who are sealed and safe from harm while the wrath is being poured out. During this time they “look upon Him whom they pierced” and weep and grieve for rejecting him. (Zech. 12) They are not preaching the Gospel to the Gentiles. Jesus said the end could only come once the Gospel was preached to all the world. So when he comes, everyone has already had their chance to receive Christ. The doors to the ark are closed.
Taking the mark of the best means you are already owned by satan n doomed in hell no more saving grace for you.. You can only be saved at that time I don’t know if this correct just comes to my mind through works because whosoever indure and hve not taken the mark of the beast n believe in God gonna be saved.. But still God grace stil there.. Correct me if I’m wrong thank you
He’s a false teacher, I’ve been saying it for ages
That’s old news and he has corrected himself!
The Rev Dr John MacArthur has completely erred in this doctrine by Revelation 13:8
He made a mistake.
It’s like you ate the cake and said I didn’t eat it.
Pastors are humans we make mistakes sometimes.
Only JESUS is perfect.
Why would anyone take the risk? It’s clear as day don’t take it or eternal damnation. I’m not taking anything that would fit the criteria.
Once one takes the mark they’re damned…
The mark of the beast is symbolic for unbelief and if someone dies in unbelief they are not saved. The time on earth is a time of grace and anyone can be saved with the seal of salvation which is faith in Christ
Seal is a sign of ownership.
Holy Spirit is the seal, seal of God showing a sign that believers are belong to God.
The same way 666 is the seal of the beast showing whoever receives the mark are belong to the beast.
So, once the seal of 666 is put, you are belong to the beast no chance of getting saved.
John MacArthur is solid on most things … Bur escatology is not one of them … He tries to squeeze orthodoxy out of a doctrinally bankrupt system called Dispensationalism .
Unforgivable?
Great explanation of the mark of beast question.

Several years ago in a live Q&A session, someone asked John MacArthur if taking the mark of the Beast during the Great Tribulation would be an unpardonable sin. His answer, in short, was no. Though there is a stern warning against taking the mark of the Beast in Revelation 14, the sin is not categorically said to be unpardonable. (That would contradict Matthew 12:31.) The point of the severe language in Revelation 14 is to make clear what an utterly reprehensible sin it will be to swear an oath of willful loyalty to Antichrist.
Where or what media did he say thet in his church or book?
He could be right because no one has given any scripture to deny it
