Where do y’all see the Church of God in 10 years? Will it become more increasingly worldly? Will our Declaration of Faith be altered or changed completely? What do you all think?

If the Lord hasn’t returned….stronger than ever. Upon this rock I will build my church. The gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I believe in spite of people, God is still in control.

Brody, good discussion post! For certain the economic condition will not improve for the Church. It will have to make changes pursuant to the falling contribution rate. That is not apt to change. It will demand drastic denominational changes and a more subservient role of the denomination to the local congregations.
The Declaration of Faith will see the greatest change with eschatology and dispensational views. The premillennial view will change.
The church will continue with a view toward holiness and sanctification as it is now however it will go with the view of the world as to externals. Little will change from now to then.
It will be hard to comprehend the changes in moral and social views as to homosexuality, environment, liberation of all sorts and racial equality – the power of white structures will crumble and the church will find difficulty coping with this.
The Church of God in ten years will be international and skin color will be much darker. The American national church will not adjust to this but will have little power to withstand it.
I will be 80 years old and still administrate this open forum. I am excited about the future!!

I believe the ’86 changes actually made the church stand on holiness stronger. Not only should we be cautious of the movies we watch we need to be cautious about the other things we watch on tv and laugh at instead of grieving over.

I’m playing for world wide revival. Looking through our eyes as it is now. It looks slim. The only hope I have is what the Bible says that in the last days there will be a great outpouring of His Spirit. It also says there will be a great falling away. I guess if we stay prayed up we will see revival. But the Bible says there will have to come a falling away before the antichrist can appear. I really believe the Church will be raptured at this time.

Amen. We have to preach what theBible says. I don’t want the name of teaching or preaching false doctrine. ThatBible plainly says. Without Holiness no man shall see the Lord. I sure want to see the Lord. Besides Holiness is not burden some. I love The joy I feel in serving the Lord.

IT HAS ALREADY CHANGED,,SO MUCH IT IS NOT LIKE THE SAME CHURCH,,BUT I STILL PREACH WE HAVE TO LIVE BY THE WORD OF GOD,I DO AGREE SOME THINGS WERE PRETTY FAR FROM THE SCRIPTURE BUT I SAW MORE HEALING’S AND MIGHTY WORKS OF GOD THAN I SEE TODAY..MABY WE DONT PRAY LIKE WE DID BACK THEN..JUST SAYIN..

I have watched it change in the last few years so much makes me sad people look different dress different involve in things they thought were sin a few years ago ,why? God says he is the same sin he despises walk in the spirit and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh so what is the church going to be five or so in a few years we will be judged according to Gods word not ours it time the church seek for the old paths and walk in them !dont you?

If it isn’t sin now it wasn’t sin then – just teaching from preacher that didn’t know to preach on anything else.
