Will someone please explain the concept of original sin.

Original sin is what we are born with. It is not the sins of Adam and Eve but the sinful nature.

Sin originated in the garden of eden where adam and eve in disobedience to God consumed the forbidden fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Adam’s sin corrupted our species physically and spiritually. That corrupted genetic code thus passed down through the generations to you and me. Therefore we are inherently doomed because of Adam’s original sin in the Garden of Eden.

I dont think there is an outright bible definition of that statement but it’s basically when Adam and eve fell by disobeying God who gave them free will, they brought sin into the world which became part of our nature. And the sin nature seems to be passed down the fathers lineage. So if you want to call that original sin that’s it.

From what i have gathered this is the reason why newborn children has to be baptized, original sin is in their heritage, pls. explain.

I see sin as a kind of spiritual debt. Like the devil sold Adam and Eve that piece of fruit. Only they did not have the currency to pay it back. That brought sin into this world and evil along with it. Evil being the absence of God which man has put there. It then took God to pay that spiritual currency. It took God to become of this world (matter) and to pay that debt on Calvary in full. Essentially building the bridge back between man and God.

If a baby dies, does he dies with original sin ?

I don’t have much concern on this theology. I knew I was a sinner even before I became a Christian. Even if this theology is correct, I don’t need to tell any non believers. Many will be offended by it. But, it concerns me when many Christians don’t give it a second thought and simply say it.

I just need to ask the non believers if they had ever been felt guilty in their conscience .

Original sin: The disobedience of our ancestors Adam and Even to our Lord Almighty God.
Obedience: In (Genesis 1:26-27) we were COMMANDED that we be fruitful and multiply and that is still applicable to this age.
Disobedience: In (Genesis 2:16-17) we were COMMANDED NOT to eat the fruit of knowledge of good and evil and we ate of it (Genesis 3).
Deceit (1-8), remorse (9-10), enquiry (11-13), punishment (14-19), nurture (20-21), CONSEQUENCE (22), judgement (23-24).
Conclusion: The original sin is innate, we are born with it irrespective we believe it or not.

Simply, original sin is what humanity inherited and was born into because of the disobedience of Adam (Male and female ) in the garden against God specific command to not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Adam obeyed the voice of Satan as Satan used the snake to talk to eve who pick the fruit and have to Adam . The moment Adam , the male ate from he fruit , their eyes were open and they were realized they were naked. Since all humanity are descendants of Adam (male and female being married) and having sinned , we too inherit that sin. Jesus came down thru 42 generations to undo what Adam did. Jesus paid the price Gods justice required for that original sin and it was a sacrifice. So Jesus died as a sacrifice for all humanity past , present and future .
So for those Christian believers who followers and disciples of Jesus.christ , their sin was erased by Jesus and his shed blood. They may sin but they are not “sinners!” (Ref to original so ). All other humans beings remain with the stigma of “original “ sin.
That is so til they confess and repent according to Romans 20:9-10. And be water baptized as a witness to the world I. Like ness if Jesus death, burials and resurrection. ✊ -

The Original sin is Coveting…sin originated in Lucifer He coveted the honour that was due to God alone..KJV Isaiah 14
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Very simple. Not putting God first. Adam and Eve disobeyed God by putting themselves first instead of God. They did what they wanted and not what God wanted. Humans will be humans!

I believe that Adam and Eve were created with free will. God documented this scenario in the Bible to reveal to God’s children that our decisions have consequences. We are not robots. Otherwise we are biological slaves to random, morally void, and baseless pieces of meat.

The original sin is disobeying God, who says’ you shall not eat’ ( Genesis 2:17). In 1John 3:4, John says’ …sin is transgression of the law.’ When Adam disobeyed God and transgressed God’s law, all human beings were in the body of Adam. Paul says ‘…for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God’ (Romans 3:23). Therefore, the Bible tells us that all died in Adam (1Corithians 15:22).

Prior to eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil Adam and Eve has no concept of good and evil. Therefore how could they sin if they had no idea what sin is.
You could say they disobeyed god but how would they know that disobeying god was evil if they had no concept of what evil was? -

Sin originated in heaven.. Adam and Eve were deceived by the devil.. Satan who sin originated in him..after he was cast out from heaven…KJV Revelation 12

Original sin is the spiritual death we are born into, dead spiritually because of the sin of our first parents. We call it the old man or old man in contrast to the new man off faith God rebirths in us by the power of his word when we come to faith.

The tradition of original sin is a compilation of verses taken out of context to support spiritual death in the womb. Wheras the Bible teaches we are born spiritually alive and in a relationship with God in the womb.
Original sin is a bad tradition that the Pharisees supported, John 9:34.
