To answer this question, we must first differentiate between denominations within the body of Christ and non-Christian cults and false religions. Presbyterians and Lutherans are examples of Christian denominations. Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses are examples of cults (groups claiming to be Christian but denying one or more of the essentials of the Christian faith). Islam and Buddhism are entirely separate religions.
Some denominations emphasize slight doctrinal differences, but more often they simply offer different styles of worship to fit the differing tastes and preferences of Christians. But make no mistake: as believers, we must be of one mind on the essentials of the faith, but beyond that there is great deal of latitude in how Christians should worship in a corporate setting. This latitude is what causes so many different “flavors” of Christianity. A Presbyterian church in Uganda will have a style of worship much different from a Presbyterian church in Colorado, but their doctrinal stand will be, for the most part, the same. Diversity is a good thing, but disunity is not. If two churches disagree doctrinally, debate and dialogue over the Word may be called for. This type of “iron sharpening iron” (Proverbs 27:17) is beneficial to all. If they disagree on style and form, however, it is fine for them to remain separate. This separation, though, does not lift the responsibility Christians have to love one another (1 John 4:11-12) and ultimately be united as one in Christ (John 17:21-22).

Because God did not author denominations. Man authored denominations. Thus, God is not the author of confusion.
-
God didn’t create the confusion. Man did
-
God’s not confused. Men are confused.
-
When I go to the store to buy ice cream i never say oh my too many flavors I’m confused!
-
God didn’t make the denominations man did so don’t blame God for what we did
-
Those are men’s confusions.. not God’s
-
Denominations are not God
-
In a VERY tiny nutshell, God presents one Way, then people foul it up from there.
-
people made denominations, God didn’t .
-
By no means! Let God be true though every one were a liar, as it is written, “That you may be justified in your words, and prevail when you are judged.”
Romans 3:4 ESV -
That is man’s doing…not God.
-
Gods didn’t make it confusing. People did.

Because he left us his word to follow…and whoever is not following it is considered a false prophet…
“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.”

Denominations are man made not God.
-
He never created them man did
-
Simple!
-
There would be no division if everyone just became Reformed … Lol
-
God did not make denominations. It’s man who did so. Man is the author of confusion, not God.
-
That’s not God’s doing
-
God could care less about you man made denominations
-
denominations do not register in heaven neither do good works…
-
Denominations confused not God.
-
Hahahaha…because God didn’t make religions, man did!
God Is NOT a god of confusion! -
Confusion happens when we seek God elsewhere. God reveals himself through the scriptures. Seek Him there..
-
Denominations aren’t as important as the fellowship. For example, most Evangelical churches recognize the baptism and Lord’s supper from other denominations.
-
Confusion, right from the time of Tower of Babel, came from man wanting to make a name for himself!!
-
Because its man that made religion helluurrr
-
There is a purpose for all these.
A finite mind cannot answer from a “some-knowing” state of intelligence.
An All knowing God knows – stand in AWE! -
Denominations came from man, not God!
-
Denominations were created by man, man caused the confusion, not God.
-
The question presupposes that God is responsible for the multiplicity of denominations. I think perhaps the OP meant to ask, “If the Bible is God’s intended vehicle for truth, and God is a perfect communicator, then why can’t Christians agree on God’s truth?” (I’ve been asked variations of this question before)
-
God did not make those denominations!
-
Satan is the author of chaos and confusion. Evil men are the ones who come up with so many denominations to confuse and to lead them astray from the truth. There is only one true God of the Bible. Repent and trust the one true risen Christ, our Lord and Savior!
-
Denominations are made by man. 1 Cor 14:33 says Gods a God of order. Jesus also wants us to be one as in John 17:20-26
-
Because he didn’t make them.
4 For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not being merely human?
5 What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each. 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. 7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. 8 He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. 9 For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field, God’s building.
-
That’s satans job, he’s the author of confusion!
-
So now we blame God for the ineptitude of fallen man?
-
God is not a God of confusion. We confused ourselves
-
Easy! God never started a denomination.
-
With so many fingers, how come that you’re still able to use your hands. There is only ONE Church. One Faith one Baptism.
Definitely ONE ALMIGHTY TRIUNE GOD. -
With so many different views on evolution how is it not called stupid?
-
Men are the source of confusion but there are many churches out there that do support each other and many that have different names that actually there doctrines agree with each other, yes many also don’t but when persecution comes we will see who are the real Christians and which churches are genuine.
-
Luc Sons, God didn’t build a denomination, He built His Church, Whish id made up from every born again believer, No matter what denomination they are in. And if the denomination or religion that they are in, Is teaching errors, they should leave it and go to a Church that is teaching the Biblical truths.
-
Only one true Church …. the Ecclesia ….. the called out ones …. the Royal Priesthood …. the temple not made of stones and mortar, but made up of living stones of which The Lord Jesus Christ is the Head and chief cornerstone! All others are man made organisations !
-
That’s the nature of God, he is not the God of confusion. Only men confused in their beliefs.
