Jesus is the only begotten Son (capital), and we become sons of God through the begetting work of Christ and the Holy Spirit…tracking. He is first and singular and will be worshipped eternally as God incarnate, but we are secondary eternal souls and trophies of His grace. Do you mean something more than this traditional, orthodox view?

Do you know what “begotten” means? It means he had “a beginning”. This is why Yehovah said to the Messiah. “TODAY you HAVE BECOME My Son”. Ask a Christian WHAT DAY that was and you’ll probably get that “deer in the headlights” look.

I think I can answer that question. As the Nicene Creed states, Jesus was begotten from eternity past. So when God is speaking in Psalms 2 (The LORD said to me, “You are my Son; today I have begotten you”) it means God said this at the time of the Son’s begetting. Further Genesis’ plural usage of “US” in Genesis leads us to believe Jesus was begotten BEFORE creation. Isaiah substantiates that in 48:16 Jesus speaks “Draw near to me, hear this: from the beginning I have not spoken in secret, from the time it came to be I have been there. And now the Lord God has sent me, and his Spirit.” Thus the Nicene Creed is justified in saying that Christ was begotten in eternity past beyond the limitations of our finite mind to see, Christ shared the glory with the Father as John 17 states-a glory that God shares with none other than God (Is 42:8). Have you read the Nicene Creed which the orthodox church established to weed out heresies which were destroying the church-it is beautiful and completely Scriptural!

False! In the BEGINNING was the word (Jesus).
Jesus is not the first of creation, but part of the Ultimate which precedes creation. Begotten does not mean have a beginning, but rather proceeding from. It’s an expression of the type of relation between the Father and the Son, who are both eternal.

Brother I have seen no scripture, to support the claims you capitalized, which also goes for the whole context of your claims. I see here that the central core of this issue is the definition of the word “Begotten” which has two meanings in its very sense. But they are no separate meanings, they go together and that is crucial significance for this specific word. It means produced by Fatherhood and only. Now am I suggesting that Jesus had a beginning ? Honestly I don’t know, one scripture says you are my son and today I have begotten you, which clearly implies that Jesus had a beginning, another scripture Jesus said “before Abraham was I AM” or “The word was with God the word was God the word became flesh” I admit these seems like contradicting, I know that cannot be therefore I think I don’t understand it yet. Anyway I believe that in scripture in original language this word is also used (in some versions of copies I believe) referring to Abraham’s son Isaac. (Hebrew 11/17-19) same word. I believe the word means “ONLY” just as “produced by fatherhood” therefore your claims is not correct. Yes Bible says that all creation is waiting for to Glory of Sons of God to be revealed (us) but it does not use that word begotten. We are sons in Christ. But not begotten because it also means only!!
