# **Theological question on FB:** *“Do we lose salvation with every sin or only ‘continual/practicing sins.’”*
# **Christian response…**
# If you have placed your faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and repented of your sin, received the Holy Spirit as the Seal and Guarantor of relationship with God the Father, you are secure forever in that relationship and Jesus Christ has told you this as well (John 10:28-30).
# If one is “continually practicing sin,” there is serious doubt concerning the authenticity of their faith and relationship with God the Father (Matthew 7:15-20). No one that is truly born-again by the indwelling Holy Spirit will seek to live in willful sin…this simply cannot happen; therefore, you cannot lose what you’ve never possessed.
# When we sin by commission or omission as believers-the redeemed, we immediately ask forgiveness (1 John 1:9) NOT to reestablish our salvation but to reestablish intimacy with our Lord. The most precious gift of the Salvation experience is peace and intimacy with our God (Romans 5:1). Sin disrupts this intimacy; therefore, the faithful confess their sin and apologize in order to maintain intimacy, closeness, with the God we love.
# It’s the same with our family, our friends, those we love but might insult or hurt with our selfish behavior…we ask forgiveness in order that the bond of love can be enjoyed…not to reestablish that bond but only to enjoy it fully (Romans 5:1). Unlike the unpredictability of human relationships in the realm of Time, God the Father promises to keep His children secure when they have sincerely entered into a relationship with Him by grace through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and having received the indwelling Holy Spirit of Promise, forever (John 14:16).

    If you turn your back on God and walk back to your old life where sin abounds. Sin will not enter into Gods holiness.

    No you cannot lose yr salvation. For example once yr child is born he is yr son right. You have a relationship with him. But when he becomes an adult gets in argument with you and doesn’t talk to you the rest of yr life. Did he stop being yr son when the sinned against you meaning when he stopped talking to you meaning when he broke fellowship you? No. It is the same thing with our relationship with God. When we are born of the spirit meaning we are born again. Like yr son if we sin against God we lost fellowship with Him until we confess out sins to Him but once we are born again we never stop being his son no matter what we do. When he was a child of God David killed a ma and stole his wife. At the end of his life God said he was a man after His heart meaning He was the too Christian when he lived!

    If we were bible saved by repenting and being immersed in the church of Christ, and we get stuck in a sin, then the second law of pardon can be applied. ????’? ???’? ?????? ??? ?? ???????

    What happens when somebody gets saved, Eg. they repent and are immersed for the remission of their sins, into Jesus’s blood for salvation, and they get stuck in a sin?

    When a child of God sins, he must repent of that sin. That is, he must be truly sorry through godly sorrow and understanding how much he has hurt God and STOP.

    ???????? ????? ??? ????????? The biblical example.

    After becoming a Christian (Acts 8:13), Simon was caught up again in sin (Acts 8:18-21). Peter, realizing Simon’s sin, commanded him to “Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart might be forgiven you.” (Acts 8:22).

    And so one must repent of his sin, then pray to God and ask for forgiveness.

    God’s word actually speaks about two laws of pardon for man today. Two plans of salvation. No, there is still only one way to God – through Christ, but there are two different ways for people in two different situations to receive forgiveness of sins, therefore, being united with God.

    The first person is the one who has never become a child of God. He is required to hear the gospel, “faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” (Rom. 10:17). After hearing, he must then believe that Jesus is the Son of God, “for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.” (Jn. 8:24). He must then make a conscious decision that from this moment on he will stop serving sin, and start serving God. This is called repentance. Those folks in Acts 2:37 asked Peter what they needed to do to be saved. Peter’s answer was, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.” (Acts 2:38). One must then confess his faith in Christ, “for with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Rom. 10:10). And finally, he must be baptized for the remission, the blotting out, the eradicating of sins. Jesus said in Mark 16:16, “He who believes and is baptized shall be saved…” He is now a Christian, in Christ, a child of God (Gal. 3:26,27), and part of the Lord’s church (Acts 2:47).

    Now the second law of pardon is available to those who have already done all of the things above. If a Christian sins, he has an advocate with the Father. If one becomes a Christian and then commits sin, he isn’t left without hope (1 Jn 2:1,2). But there are some steps he must take in order to receive forgiveness. These steps are what I am calling the second law of pardon.

    When a child of God sins, he must repent of that sin. That is, he must be truly sorry he committed it and then stop doing it.

    Involved in that prayer to God for forgiveness is also confession. One must confess his sin to God in order to obtain forgiveness. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins…” (1 Jn 1:9). This is the second law of pardon.

    By the way, are you in either of these two states? If you’ve never obeyed the Gospel, the first law of pardon has been made available to you through the blood of Christ. Take advantage of it!!!

    If you are an erring child of God, the second law of pardon has been made available to you, also by the blood of Christ. If you’re not right with God – Get Right!

    We never lost our salvation.
    The assurance of salvation promised by God through Christ to Abraham seed are eternal salvation. Isa. 45:25 , 45:17. The everlasting Love.
    Jer.31:3 , The everlasting agreement. Psalm. 105:6-10
    Psalm 37:28 For the Lord love judgment, and forsake not His SAINTS. THEY ARE PRESERVED FOR EVER.

    Ànd we that is in faith , the same are the children of abraham. Gal.3:7
    And if ye be in Christ, then are ye Abraham seed, AND HEIRS ACCORDING TO THE PROMISE.

    We can never lose our Salvation. Now if someone is habitually practicing sin does that prove they lost their Salvation??? No all that proves is they were never converted and believers in the first place

    This question has a chronological problem! Why? Salvation once gotten can never be lost because it is founded on the basis of completely sinlessness and impossibility to sin; in other words, you are saved only when you finally work hard enough ( spiritually) to enter Paradise, and once in Paradise, it is not possible to return to the earth!

    No, Jesus said in john 10:27-29

    “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.”

    God is the one that protects us not the other way around.

    “We know that no one who is born of God sins; but He who was born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him. And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ.     Secon question, continual practicing sin?

    Always remember, the by product of salvation in transformation. Change, 2 Corinthians 5:17

    God rescued us from the power of sin at the time of salvation.

    “knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin;”

    Sin has no power over our lives.

    “Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness. You know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin. No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him. Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.”

    But we can’t be perfect on this world because we still struggle with sin. But through the power of the Holy Spirit, prayer and meditating on God’s word we’ll sin-less

    The theological question that is posed by the world that you started with is what I call light switch theology, it is a bit silly if ya think about it. Also it completely misunderstands original sin, which is from which we get our death sentence from.
