For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is *the* blood that makes atonement by the life.

Notice the definite article *the blood* which confirms to the claim made by the Author of Hebrew that the blood atonement is a *necessity* for the remission of sins!

What is your point? Jesus shed His blood on Calvary for the remussion of our sins. God shed the first blood in the garden to clothe Adam and Eve. The OT sacrifices were the shedding of blood for atonement
