Outside of our passionate disagreement on music (David’s stand that any music outside of the classic and older hymns is rebellious in nature and should be shunned by the body of Christ and my position that many music genres when done properly and in appropriate situations and circumstances with God-honoring Biblical lyrics can be glorifying to the Lord), I cannot recommend David Cloud at Way of Life Literature highly enough to the body of Christ.
David has been instrumental in helping countless brothers and sisters to remain separate, holy, and unstained from the world and in every respect dedicated to their Lord and Savior, staying fully committed to the Word of God in numerous beneficial ways.
David Cloud is an exceptional researcher and writer, and his amazing website is a virtual library full of teachings and information to be accessed by all believers in Messiah Yeshua, from the new believer in Christ to the studied and learned believer who is well-versed in the Scriptures and every believer in between.
Below is a sampling of the many articles Mr. Cloud has written and which I have received from his daily emails, saving them to my own files for future reference. Even one of my earlier articles, QFTBOC: Civil Disobedience and Patriotism, was essentially a David Cloud-written article, as one of David’s articles I had recently saved was the perfect answer to a brother’s question, and I could not have honestly said it any better. Again, this is only a sampling of the voluminous writings of this wonderful man of God.
Without doubt, some of the titles below will spike the curiosity of many brothers and sisters, and, dare I say, they may also create some uneasiness in others as well. When discernment ministries such as David Cloud’s and The Berean Call reveal doctrines of devils and seducing spirits that have invaded the church, they are doing nothing but God’s work in warning the churches of Christ of the vast deceptions that have subtly and not so subtly infiltrated the professing church, negatively influencing and tragically impacting overall Christian judgment.
David has also shown, as my earthly mentor Dave Hunt did, the vast amounts of heretical and false teachings that have infiltrated the church, many from surprising sources that have often been revered in many circles of Christendom.

David has documented that many of the so-called “Church Fathers” were often apostate in many of their teachings and views, frequently leading toward promoting what would become Roman Catholic Church doctrine, warning the body of Christ to be very careful and discerning of which early Christian writers they may want to read.
Brother Cloud has also helped point serious Christians away from the litany of extra-Biblical literature that unfortunately many in the body of Christ will supplement with the holy Word of God. For instance, David points Christians away from the writings of the Essenes cult that were discovered among the Dead Sea Scrolls, and gives a brief overview of the Book of Enoch.
On the topic of extra-Biblical writings, I had the following to say in Revelation 22:18-19 – God’s Final Warnings:
Where does one draw the line when it comes to the inspired Word of God and extra-Biblical literature?
I am not speaking of trusted and tried Bible teachers who are committed to the integrity of the Scriptures within their teachings, of course, but extra-Biblical literature – e.g., The Book of Enoch, Essene writings, The Talmud (Oral Law), many early first through third century teachers and writers and many of the so-called Church Fathers, The Gospel of Thomas, The Gospel of Judas, The Gospel of Mary, etc., etc., etc., as the list is endless.
Please, dearly beloved Saint, avoid at all cost extra-Biblical literature, as these writings will often lead one into adding to and/or taking away from the divinely revealed and inspired Word of God. I have seen this sad truth play out many times over. God has given to His people everything we need to know and learn about Him and His great plan of salvation, redemption, reconciliation, and consummation in Holy Writ. We need nothing else.
As for me and my house, we have determined and purposed in our hearts to draw the line at the 66 books of the Holy Scriptures with absolutely nothing supplemented from extra-Biblical literature in a resolute attempt to shield ourselves from the sin of adding to and/or taking away from the mighty God-breathed Scriptures. Everything else that we may read will always be diligently filtered by the already established revealed Word of God.

Mr. Cloud has also done much work investigating the important differences and distinctions between modern-day English translations of the Bible. As I have often told my own readers, though no translation will ever be perfect, the King James Version of the Scriptures has stood the test of time and is the best English translation we have at our disposal. David Cloud offers many excellent commentaries on the Scriptures, is well-versed in American, Israeli, and Biblical history, has a heart for the body of Christ, is a voracious reader, prolific writer, and a diligent researcher, and is wholly committed to the literal exegetical teaching of the inerrant Word of God faithfully. David Cloud at Way of Life Literature is a wonderful Bible teacher with so much to offer the body of Christ. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
