I’ve studied the various arguments.
I wasn’t raised in the church.
I had no allegiance to one over the other.
But as a result of my studies, I became a YEC and accepted Christ as my lord an Savior.I couldn’t preform the mental gymnastics required to reconcile scripture with evolutionary processes.
And once that shackle was removed (evolution is outdated = it persist because it’s more than a scientific theory IMHO), I saw no need for long ages and evidence to the contrary of biological evolution (particularly in genetics).I have found, everyone I have ever spoken to that is TE or OEC, believe as they do not because of Scripture but in spite of it.
They believe in evolution because they have been indoctrinated to it or because they don’t know any better.
& there are people that just want to fit in, to blend. So they stay quiet and avoid the subject.The fact is, TE makes an absolute mess out of the Gospel.
It causes many apologetics issues, like a domino effect.So the answer is no.
No. Scripture is absolutely in contrast to TE, and it is unnecessary. Science supports Scripture.But it shouldn’t matter to the Christian?
Our final authority should always be Gods Word. -
How can an unguided natural process be guided by an intelligent being? It is incompatible.
