Education:
Maj Gen Deese was born on February 2, 1950. in Amarilo, Texas. He graduated from military school in 1972 with a Bachelor’s degree, and then graduated from the master to the Naval Academy for a diploma qualification. He later graduated from the command-and-staff courses, Generalŝabna Academy of the United States, College of St. Indurstrualniâ of the United States and has been a visiting researcher at the Royal Defence College, London.
Military Career:
1972 – 1977 – Officer (all levels) in the 101st Airborne Division, “Rakasan”.
1977 – 1983 – master’s degree at the Naval Academy and the General Staff Academy
1983-1987 – serves the command posts in the 1st Armored Division, Germany.
1988 – Commander of the 1st Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division, Colorado.
1991-1994 – Commander of the Third Brigade, “Rakasan”, the 101st Airborne Division, Kentucky.
1994-1996 – research fellow at the Royal College of defence of the United Kingdom, London.
1997-1998 – Deputy Commander of 101st Airborne
1998 – 2000 – General, Commander of the 2nd Infantry Division, CS on the United States in Europe.
2000-2002 – Deputy Commander V American Corps, the 8th U.s. Army.
Civilian career:
2003-2005 – Ceo, strategies for Defense, Microsoft Corporation.
2005 – until now – Executive Director, military Ministry.
During his last two posts, Maj. Gen. Dijs has held a number of other temporary command posts with international significance, as the Commander of The command for missile defense of the United States and Israel.
For the time of its rich military career, he received numerous Gene Dijs medals and military awards, such as: the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, Distinguished Service Medal (2), Legion of Merit (2), Meritorious Service Medal (6), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, the Republic of Korea Order of National Security Chonsu.
Gene. Dijs is married to Kathleen Dijs. They have two children, family, and four grandchildren.
