On March 29, President Joe Biden issued the following proclamation: “Now, therefore, I, Joseph R. Biden Jr., President of the United States Of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and The laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility.”

On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at the age of 69, Oliver “Dr. Mac” Lewis McMahan died peacefully at his home in Cleveland, Tennessee. Oliver was born on November 15, 1954 in Honolulu, Hawaii. SUBJECT: EARLY HOLIDAY CLOSING POLICY CHANGE

During the February 12, 2024 meeting of the International Executive Committee, the following action was taken:

“The International Executive Committee reviewed the policy of closing at 3:00 p.m. on the workday preceding a holiday weekend, and it was agreed that the practice be discontinued in light of the 4-day work week.”

Please note that Thursday, March 28, the offices will close at 3pm and reopen on Monday, April 1, at 8am. This will be the final time the International Offices will close early prior to a holiday.
