SUBJECT: EXECUTIVE COUNCIL REPORT ON LEE UNIVERSITY

The Church of God Executive Council has released a final report entitled “Lee University Doctrinal Integrity and Teaching Fidelity”. This report represents months of research and dialogue with leaders of Lee University Board of Directors and the Executive Council.

A primary goal of the Council’s report was to highlight Lee University’s commitment to Church of God doctrine as well as the church’s expectation for scriptural adherence related to critical societal issues. 

Special thanks to the Executive Council and the Lee University Board of Directors for their prayerful collaboration on this most significant report.

General Overseer Tim Hill has announced a special prayer emphasis that will focus on the current cultural and societal needs around the globe, and the upcoming General Assembly with its spiritual and historical significance for the Church of God. The initiative will begin on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, with an introductory post on social media channels, and will culminate in a Facebook Live event broadcast from the International Offices on Wednesday, May 15 beginning at 11:00 am EST.

In addition, this Thursday, May 2, there will be a 30-minute Facebook Live event in observance of the National Day of Prayer, beginning at 9:00 am EST from the Blair Chapel.

Please join with the International Offices as we proclaim the anointing over our upcoming 79th International General Assembly.

SUBJECT: EARLY HOLIDAY CLOSING POLICY CHANGE

During the February 12, 2024 meeting of the International Executive Committee, the following action was taken:

“The International Executive Committee reviewed the policy of closing at 3:00 p.m. on the workday preceding a holiday weekend, and it was agreed that the practice be discontinued in light of the 4-day work week.”

Please note that Thursday, March 28, the offices will close at 3pm and reopen on Monday, April 1, at 8am. This will be the final time the International Offices will close early prior to a holiday.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ:
 
July 8-12, 2024, we will gather in Indianapolis for the 79th General Assembly. At the conclusion of such, the appointment of administrative bishops/state overseers will be made by the International Executive Committee.  As part of the appointment process, ministers in each state/region will have the opportunity to submit an evaluation ballot for your current state overseer.
