What would you say to people who find happiness (a happy life) through “self belief”, humanism, Buddhism and, spiritualism and that they don’t need God?

I would point out that, first of all, they have no cure for death. Either the death of their loved ones, or their own ultimate demise.
Secondly, I would point out, any drug addict can find “happiness.” Each of us have a sin problem, and would not even enjoy heaven, should we go there without a heart change. We each, naturally, have an appetite for sins that ultimately harm ourselves and others.
We need God to purify our hearts from those sins, and to give us new motives – we need to be Born Again.

Sounds like those people love listening to Joel Osteen
-
I would tell them to enjoy it while it last because the torment of eternal flames last forever
-
I don’t think talking about the afterlife will work on me. I have good reasons to reject all versions of it.

It is like seeking happiness and always fill empty on the inside. You look at any movie star that have everything and yet they are never happy. Even the richest person in the world is never satisfy even if they have billions. Regardless what anyone do, they will never find true happiness. Only repentance and walk with God where you truly find peace.

Tell them to stop lying. 10 commandments, the gospel.
-
Jesus is the gift.

I would say, “even if you feel happy in this life, you cannot make it without Jesus Christ in the next life. Your sins will catch up to you on judgement day, and if you are not covered by the blood of Christ, you will not be able to access the kingdom of God.”
In this life you can find temporary happiness, but it will be all for nothing if you lose your soul by God’s own hand in the end. Even if they may feel like they don’t need God now, they’re going to need him when they cross over into the next life. This known reality we live in is only but a small percentage of creation. Humanity is blinded.

Temporal happiness , but joy is eternal that comes in knowing our Lord Jesus Christ, a joy and wisdom that this world would not understand. True peace inside and out…..
-
Good luck with that
-
Eternity is a really long time to regret
-
Its their choice. No problem for me. But for them it, it would be very disappointing when they come to heaven.
If we have the chance to be a witness, i say lets do it. If they refuse, then its not ours to regret for. Even God respects their will how much more us?
-
It’s only temporary happiness IMHO, not true happiness with assurance of eternal life in the presence of God.
-
False security.
-
I would ask them if they feel they have a need to avoid an eternity roasting in the lake of fire. If not, that’s their business.
-
If they say they don’t need God tell them to stop using his stuff.
-
Everyone is still on about the afterlife.
We need a reason to believe in it. Not just threats
-
I’ll ask in a Q&A.
Q. Why don’t you believe in God? A. There are many gods as in Hinduism.
Q. Why are many Gods in Hinduism? A. A belief in God Can be as many as believers if they get pious enough.3) there’s always a doubting Thomas in each group.

Point out the grim truth: they’re going to die. The things that bring you happiness won’t follow you.
Using myself as an example, my idols are (or would be, if I didn’t have them in check by grace of God) Krav Maga, nature (especially dinosaurs), and my loved ones. When I face Jesus, which of those will save me? “Ok Lord, I know I lied, stole, lived as a gay man, spent more than a decade addicted to porn etc. but I know how to disarm an attacker who swings a baseball bat at me”. Not gonna fly. “I grew a grapefruit tree from a seed.” Nope, barred from the Kingdom again. “I made a number of amazing friends whom I loved to my death”. Not even if I died for one of those friends would I be forgiven. The ONLY legal defence Jesus will accept on judgement day is “Lord, my sins are deeper than the sea, yet on my behalf, you faced the wrath of God, being poured out as an offering pleasing to Him. I have placed my faith in you. Have mercy on me, a sinner.” And only if that is a true statement will Christ forgive. Everything else will die with you.

The things of this life are dying and temporary, including life. Give your life to Jesus now and receive eternal life!
-
How do they define happiness?
-
I would tell them that even after they die time does not stop, so eternity will come for them. They must decide, here and now, which eternity they want. If they don’t choose heaven for themselves, the default choice is hell. How happy is that?
-
I would say imagine you life is a never ending rope and the rope is white. Now at the start of your life or the rope there is about an inch of red marking tape on the end of the rope. That little red inch of tape signifies your temporary life here on earth. After this life the remaining white part of the rope is your eternal life in the age to come. Now in your life to come you will go to one of two places, heaven or hell. Now are you willing to risk an eternity in hell for an inch or temporary life of happiness in yourself here on earth?
-
Then give them “the good test”
-
Well if say they are lost. And proclaim the gospel.
-
Enjoy it while you can
-
all this people are in a trap of the devil – all them are lost –
-
It doesn’t last long … it’s not happiness that jesus gives …it’s the joy n peace n love that the world cannot give nor understand….
-
-
Life intervenes or they just stay that way.
-
Same question, but with drugs?
-
Ecclesiastes.
-
All such happiness lasts only upto the grave….but those who believe in jesus will live even after his earthly death…..
-
They first need to know what true happiness is. There’s a difference between a break-forth and a breakthrough.
-
Get saved.. hell burns forever
-
Its fine but it will not last. The human soul has a God shaped hole
-
Happiness is not joy, joy comes through Jesus, while happiness comes through our surroundings
-
The World’s access to the human soul is not even the tiniest part of the point of Christianity. In Christianity, people suffer, because the whole World hates Jesus Christ our Master. The World clings to pseudo-Christs that tell them what they want to hear, but it’s really not the same thing…
-
Ignorance is bliss
-
What would you say to people who say “you are using fear tactics!!” when it comes to talking about hell and eternal fire?
-
Self belief system is but for a moment.
-
That’s a lot of pressure on your own shoulder to be your own God, it’s failure from the start.
-
Happiness and holiness are two separate things. God is concerned with holiness, all else follows. But that is the problem with humans, we seek things out of oder
