In 1884 when the CoG had it’s earliest roots, America had only 50,189,209 in population. Now 132 years later the nation has more than six times the population. Just two states, Texas and California now have more population than the entire country back then. The General Assembly meets every two years and according to experts the body of knowledge in the world has almost doubled during that period of time. The delegates will not be dealing with any of this new information and we can be sure that the Church of the Nazarene folks nor the Adventists will be dealing with new knowledge either in their conventions; that’s not what the church does.
