They accused the Christians of supporting rival forces and receiving stolen money, which the Christians denied. The youth union asserted that the false accusations were an excuse to arrest the Christians, and an attorney following the case said authorities tortured them into confessing.
Vatican announces new guidelines allowing gay men to become priests in Italy under vow of celibacy. [It’s well-known that they’re already in the priesthood, and they’re not celibate.] The already apostate religion sinks yet further.

Good news: Trump Admin. Orders Federal Workers to Remove Gender Identity Pronouns from Email Signatures. Employees were instructed to remove pronouns from everything from government grant applications to email signatures across the department.

Storm Eowyn smashes Ireland as ‘worst ever storm’ surpasses 1945 record. Storm Eowyn brought a record-breaking gust of 183km/h winds in Ireland. At least one person was killed, and over a million were without power across Ireland and Scotland.
Rennes hit by worst floods in 40 years as Storm Herminia hits France. Storm Herminia has been battering Normandy and Brittany since January 25, causing widespread flooding, evacuations, and school closures. At least two people have lost their lives.
Earthquakes
Seismic Activity. 906 earthquakes in California and Nevada within the past several days. The vast majority right now are very small, but over the past year, there have been far more mid-size earthquakes in the region than normal. Southern California normally experiences about 5 earthquakes of 4.0 or greater each year, but by August 20 last year, the region had already been hit by 13.
Other Disasters
American Airlines flight collides with Black Hawk helicopter near Washington DC. The military helicopter in the tragic DC crash deviated from the approved flight path. 3 people were aboard the helicopter, and 64 passengers and crew were on the flight, and all are presumed dead.
At least 7 dead, 19 injured after plane crashes into a Philadelphia neighborhood. There were six deaths on the plane and an additional death of a person who was in their car when the medical flight fell to the ground in a fiery explosion.

US Secretary of State Rubio: Hamas cannot exist after hostage deal is over. Rubio said the ultimate challenge in the current conflict with Gaza is the fate of Hamas once the ceasefire phases end. ‘If the people who are in charge of Gaza are the same guys that created October 7th, then we still have the same problem.’
Israel Says Its Troops in Syria Will Remain Atop Mt Hermon Indefinitely. Israeli troops who seized strategic ground in southern Syria after the fall of Assad will remain on the summit of Mount Hermon indefinitely, Defense Minister Katz said after visiting troops there. Katz said Israel would not allow what he described as hostile forces to establish themselves in southern Syria.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards commander says Iran purchased Russian-made Sukhoi 35 fighter jets. This amid Western concerns about Iran and Russia’s growing military cooperation. This is the first time an Iranian official has confirmed the purchase of Su-35 jets.
Iran Unveils ‘Gaza’ Drone With 1,000-km Range and a payload capacity of at least 500 kilograms. This unmanned aircraft can carry up to 13 missiles in a single flight.

Leiter described normalization with Saudi Arabia as part of a broader realignment in the Mideast. [As we brethren know, Saudi Arabia will not be a part of the Russian-Arab confederation that invades Israel; Ezekiel 38].
Israel Slams Newly Signed Iran-Russia Treaty as ‘Dangerous for the Entire World.’ Israel is deeply concerned about a recently signed “comprehensive strategic partnership treaty” between Iran and Russia. Israel’s ambassador to Moscow said, “Iran is a country that has openly and publicly stated many times its intention to destroy Israel. Any cooperation aimed at developing Iran’s ability to realize those intentions, or any agreement intended to strengthen Iran’s economic, strategic, or military capabilities, is dangerous for the entire world and particularly for Israel.”
Israel in ‘precarious position’ as China cozies up with Iran, expert says. ‘Any notion that China could serve as a viable alternative to the U.S. as a hegemonic guarantor in the region is illusory,’ said Zineb Riboua, a research fellow and program manager at the Hudson Institute’s Center for Peace and Security in the Middle East. Israel is in a “precarious position,” as China has demonstrated a “clear inclination” to align with Iran and its proxies.
