The deadliest earthquake in 95 years hit Myanmar on Friday, March 28, 2025, leaving over 1,000 fatalities and injuring over 2,400 people in the country. The M7.7 quake was powerful enough to send tremors as far as Thailand, where at least 10 people lost their lives, 68 were injured, and about 80 remain missing. The impact was made worse when an M6.7 aftershock hit the same region just minutes later.
