International Educator Awards Presented
Two of World Missions’ most excelled and esteemed career missionaries were honored with two traditional recognitions during the International Educators Luncheon at the 2018 General Assembly in Orlando, Florida.
Dr. Marcia Anderson was presented the International Educator Faculty Award by Dr. Enrique A. De Jesús, director of USA Hispanic Educational Ministries. Marcia has exhibited the life of a faithful disciple of Christ most of her life. As a champion missionary-educator, she is well known by her colleagues. For more than 10 years, she served as faculty and dean of Students at the Asian Seminary of Christian Ministries and as missionary and academic dean at Discipleship College in Eldoret, Kenya, for more than 11 years. Dr. Anderson holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Master of Divinity, Master of Theology, and Doctor of Theology degrees.
The Distinguished Leadership Award was granted to Jurgen Rudolph and was made by Daniel Vassell of the Division of Education. An ordained bishop, Rudolph has served with distinction as a missionary in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Kenya, and Germany, as well as regional Christian Education coordinator for Africa, traveling to more than 67 nations during his ministry. He earned a Bachelor of Theology and Master of Divinity and has authored teaching curriculum.
