What’s the significance or importance or relevance of Israel? I used to be very pro Israel because it seemed it was the right thing to do, given David says to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and so many other verses of God’s love for Israel. But what about the church being the Israel of God? I know there’s gonna be a war there or a certain number of them will be saved at a certain time; but what about the rest of the world thats currently being saved and is going to be saved? In a study of Revelations at my church, chapter 11:8 really impacted me and has made me wonder. I don’t imagine God’s love for the nation Israel is any different than his love for any other nation or people. I’m very grateful for the working of God through this nation for our benefit, written in his Word btw. I’m also very pleased to see them come to Christ, so please don’t take me as an anti-semite.

God had a purpose for ancient Israel which was fulfilled with the coming of the Christ. Now he wants all nations to.hear the Gospel and come to faith, even falmemen Isfael who rejected him and many reject him still.
