What is your view on divorce and remarriage?

The Holy Bible says: “It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.”
-Matthew 5:31-32 (KJV)

Do you agree? Why or why not?

  1. Duane L Burgess says:

Divorce is always a concession for sin.
Sometimes it becomes necessary; or one is abandoned by the spouse.
Remain single if possible, reconcile if possible.

Grace is big enough to handle it.
If reconciliation is impossible one may consider remarriage, only in the Lord. One reason is to manage physical desire.

  2. Yazan Khawaja says:

Divorce is sin unless there’s betrayal.

    Remarriages are adultery

the rules of marriage and remar

    1. Do not marry an unbeliever.
    2. If you do, then YOU are not to be the person to start a divorce.
    3. If the unbeliever wants to divorce you, let them. God does not count you are tied to that marriage, be at peace about hat.
    4. If you are married to a believer, do not divorce.
    5. If there is a divorce, remain single.
    6. IF, due to fleshly sexual desire that you cannot or do not want to conquer, you want to marry again, you go to your believing spouse and marry that person.
    7. If you marry another, not your believing spouse, you are an adulterer and put your soul and salvation at risk.
