Alexander the Great. His life was written about 400 years after his death. Some people see it as a fact.

Jesus Christ. His life was written few months to few years after the ressurection (according to lattest scholar’s such as Gary Habermas), same people think it’s a fiction.

It’s not an intellectual discussion with skepticism. It’s about their denial.

    You nailed it!

No. His life was written about around 40 years after his death.

    Why are you lying?

  3. John Delmore says:

Alex got better press, king of Macedonia, conquering the known world, stuff like that. Jesus was a ‘nobody’, quietly redeeming humanity…

But we don’t have the originals, the copies we have are hundreds of years removed, determining when the originals were written is based on writing style and dialect but that still makes it a guess.

  5. Jerry Spencer says:

How closely something was written to a certain event does not guarantee that what was written is true.

They are differences between the gospels Paul in the gospels never mind the differences between all the copies of the New Testament we have.

It’s clearly understood that no two manuscripts are identical.

Daniel prophesied of Alexander the Great. A young he goat his life will be cut short. His kingdom divided up between his his four generals these four will become two the talamec a and shelema empires these two converged into one becomes the Roman empire. Alexander the Great everywhere he conquered he let Christian’s worship freely. He could conquer the world but not hisself.

Luke wrote the book of acts. It had alot to do with Paul his teachings his travels. What he left out was his death. Paul died in 64 ad 31 years after Jesus Luke’s Gospel predates acts. Mark’s Gospel predates Luke’s. Mathews Gospels predates Luke’s so the earliest writings are at best 10 years after Jesus death. They believed John Gospels were written 200 ad .wrong 75 to 85 ad.

I was just thinking about history and the resurrection. The resurrection was accounted for by over 500 eyewitnesses (having seen personally the resurrected Jesus). Not to mention the accounts recorded in the Bible corroborated by four different authors and Paul and seamlessly carried down through the millenniums. Yet, the skeptics say there is no evidence of the resurrection. They accept less evidence for other “historical” figures and events that they account as fact.

I laugh cause it’s true… just like Muhammad

Would you mind introducing those ‘latest scholars’, please ? Saying ‘some scholars’is pretty vague, please ?

He is Risen. If Jesus wasn’t Risen the Jewish leaders and the Romans would have displayed his stinking Corpse around Jerusalem and there would have been NO Christianity then or now!
