Anyone have a good book AFTER the Bible about Gods promises to us as believers? Many promises from God are very specific to a certain group ; I struggle when I hear people claim those today for themselves – I know we can see God’s nature in those but I’m talking about promises to all us grafted in folks! ❤️

actually a really simple tool but I think what your looking for, a good study bible and good dictionary. something like the ESV global study bible or faithlife study bible and a good dictionary like the lexham bible dictionary. that’ll get you going no problem.

Thanks all! Agreed on every post so far. I’m also looking for” a list of promises from the Bible” to us as grafted in believers. I don’t mean the specific promises to a specific person like Abraham; I mean promises to all us grafted in folks as a body; promises that we can all claim on a daily basis.

Why do you need a book AFTER the Bible? Any book after the Bible will just refer back to the Bible

The act of the cross grants direct prayer access to God. When there is a personal fellowship with Him, there is no promise that is neglected.

Of course we read other books besides the Bible they help us to love reading the Bible even more.

My favorite is Renovation of the Heart by Dallas Willard. I’ve read it twice

I love The Hiding Place. Gods promises tested under real life conditions.

Revelation is the end. As far as secondary sources on prophecy in sure there out there but they would just be interpretations. I think you would like a commentary of revelation from what I’m hearing.

I appreciate all your comments thank you! Maybe I phrased the question wrong. To simplify ; I’m looking for a reference that points to ALL of Gods promises to you and me today. I’m not looking for the promises made to a specific person or group, ie. “ I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars”. I’m looking for general promises that you and me can claim daily , those promises made to all followers of Jesus Christ. ❤️
