A Three-fingered Prayer

“Prayer does not fit us for the greater work; prayer is the greater work.”

_Oswald Chambers

As a child it was a bit of a stumbling block for me to figure out money and time.

But what’s a child to think when a nickel is larger than a dime and the large hand on the clock represents minutes and the small hand represents hours.

Who came up with that logic?

Next thing you know people will be trying to convince me that you should put round pizza in a square box and that there is such a thing as “virtual” reality and they want to give me a “free” gift.

One thing is for certain…

There’s a lot of weird and confusing details that we must deal with every day.  Some say the Devil is in the details, but I say, Why not put the Deity in the details?

It’s called prayer.

The ONE THING for today: Here’s a good prayer for you that works anywhere, anytime – spoken out loud or silently, I call it my three-finger prayer.  Before making that call, posting that statement, making that decision…before doing anything that matters…count off this little prayer: “God help me!”

It’s amazing how that little prayer gets the Deity into the details.
