Where Did My Angel Go!?

and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.

_Acts 12:10

Left high and dry!

Why!?

Peter, imprisoned, chained, and guarded in the innermost cell had been poked in the ribs by an angel (can you imagine!) and told to join him.

Immediately Peter is walking in the glorious light of the miraculous. Chains drop, doors open, the impossible suddenly happens, and then…

The angel disappears.

Just like that, Peter is left alone standing on a street corner.

Why would the angel do that. Why would he leave Peter alone?

Here’s the deal, God does the impossible, we take it from there.

It was impossible for Peter to free himself, but once he was out on the familiar streets it was time for Peter to step up and make a decision and take a direction and start walking in faith.

Only time and eternity will fully reveal all the things that God has done for us. But be assured, He will not do one thing that we should have done for ourselves.

You and I have a race to run, a fight to win, and a goal to reach. Waiting on God to come through is never the answer as long as there is one more thing for us to do.

The ONE THING for today: Hoping for a miracle is a terrible strategy. Counting on God to strengthen you as you seek to follow Him and obey Him works every time,

Get out there my friend!

Run2Win today.

24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. 26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. 27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.
