The Truth :: By Rick Segoine

Jesus is the truth. Jesus speaks the truth, and He has done so always. There was never a time when Jesus didn’t speak the truth. Everything He ever said was true, and in fact, He was, and still is, incapable of not speaking the truth.

Jesus was and is the embodiment of the truth. He is the truth incarnate, and He shared the truth freely.

Jesus was and is also the Life and the Way. He is the spirit of prophecy, the Messiah, and so many other wonderful things.

Jesus is the Son of God, the Son of Man, the second person of the Holy Trinity, and the one who spoke the universe, the earth, and all of life into existence.

In the Gospel of John, the first thing John mentions about Jesus is this: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made, and without Him, nothing was made that has been made” (John 1:1-5).

Stop and think about what a mighty truth that is.

Let’s look at some of the things Jesus said while on earth, as well as things He said to Paul and John and to others by way of revelations in the spirit.

Starting with the Book of Genesis, God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, speaking through the Son (the Word or Logos in the Greek) said, “Let there be light.”

The rest of the Book of Genesis records all of the things Jesus (the Word) spoke into creation, including human beings, whereas in Genesis 26, He said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

So, God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, through the spoken Word, who was Jesus the Son and the second member of the Holy Trinity, created man in His own image, in the image of God He created them, male and female He created them.

Here in the year 2025 on this planet we call Earth, it is necessary to repeat these words,

“Male and Female He created them.”

In the Book of Genesis and in Chapter 1 are the first recorded words spoken by Him who was there in the beginning when everything that was made was, in fact, made.

The whole account of creation was made known to Moses in a direct revelation from God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who also referred to Himself when speaking to Moses as the Great I Am. It was revealed to Moses in a similar way to how Jesus, who later infuriated the Pharisees by saying, “I Am that I Am,” revealed the Book of Revelation to John.

Although this revelation to Moses came to him from God many years after the creation took place, Moses wrote it all down in exquisite detail with pinpoint accuracy in the book we now know as the “Book of Genesis.”

The books of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy followed as Almighty God continued to reveal important truths to Moses.

The first five books of the Holy Bible contain the creation account and the laws of God. These five books make up what is known as “The Pentateuch.”

Jesus said so very many wonderful things in the Old Testament before He took on human form, as well as in the New Testament while in a human form, and also after the Resurrection and up to the time of the Ascension. After the Ascension, He personally spoke revelations to John and to Paul, who each wrote them down for the whole world to see and learn from.

Certainly, there must have been a great many other things Jesus said that were not written down.

Similar to what is expressed in John 25 about how Jesus did many other things that were not written about.

So many, in fact, that the world couldn’t contain all of the books it would have required to record all of the things He did.

There is not enough room in one article to list them all, but here are a few of the wonderful, amazing things Jesus has said that have been recorded in the New Testament of the Holy Bible…

“Repent ye, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 10:7).

“Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33).

“I am the truth and the light and the way. No one can come to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).

“Love the Lord thy God with all of your heart, all of your soul, all of your mind, and with all of your strength” (Matthew 22:37).

“Love your neighbor as yourself” Mark 12:31).

“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” (Matthew 7:12).

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25:40).

But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High…” (Luke 6:35).

“Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13).

“With man this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible” (Matthew 12:26).

“Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14).

“What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?” (Mark 8:36).

“Ask, and it will be given to you, seek, and you will find, knock, and it will be opened to you” (Matthew 7:7-8).

“Let your yes be yes and your no be no” (Matthew 5:37).

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal” (Matthew 6:19-20).

“Baptize all nations in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19-20).

“I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:3).

“See to it that no one deceives you, for many shall come in my name saying, ‘I am he,’ and shall deceive many” Matthew 24:4).

“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads, for your redemption draws nigh” (Luke 21:28).

“Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth” (Revelation 3:10).

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world, for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14).

“And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened” (Matthew 24:22).

“…the truth will set you free” (John 8:32)

Jesus is the “Truth,” and it is He who will set you free.

This article contains just a few of the pure and holy truths that were spoken to you and to me and to this entire world by Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Jesus is the truth and the life and the way, and there is no other name in all of creation that can set you free.

If you have read these words spoken by Jesus and you do not know Him but would love to get to know Him personally, you can this very day. The apostle Paul explains very simply in Romans 10:9-11 how to become saved by grace.

“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”

As scripture says, “Anyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame.”

As we can see from the things Jesus said and the things He did – such as healing all manner of sickness and physical defects, raising the dead to life, walking on water, calming down storms with a mere word, fulfilling around 300 OT prophecies about the coming Messiah, willingly allowing Himself to be the sacrificial lamb and paying the penalty for my sins and your sins and the sins of everyone who has ever lived there on that cross at Calvary, and then rising from the dead Himself with promises of eternal life to all who would believe in and follow Him – there is no one else like Jesus.

This is another statement that needs to be repeated and greatly emphasized.

—There is no one else like Jesus—

Jesus cannot be compared to anyone else who ever lived. Not to any founder of any religion or to anyone at all. He is quite literally in a league of His own.

A league far, far, far above the rest.

Accepting the free gift of salvation and getting to know Jesus personally is the most awesome as well as the wisest thing anyone could ever do. We are all invited to become best friends with He who spoke creation into existence and sustains it so you and I can continue to breathe and to live.

Jesus is the Truth.

The Pure and Holy Truth.

Blessings to all of God’s children and to all who will come to salvation in these days ahead, just before the Rapture.
