The Great TV Spat Heard Round the World, Part 2 :: By John Hamilton
“Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves” (Matthew 10:16).
“And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment” (1 Chronicles 12:32).
“These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so” (Acts 17:11)
Trump recently called Zelensky a “dictator” and said he should have never “started the war.”
Shocking assertions? You don’t hear that on NBC or CNN! That goes against the MSM narrative. We all know the former comedian Zelensky is a wonderful person, a victim of injustice, a freedom fighter always garbed in military dress, right? So is this misinformation —- or the straight-up truth, no chaser?
You have to dig deeper to get to the truth, like the Bereans. You have to know the times, like the men of Issachar. You have to be wise as serpents, innocent as doves. Hint: I submit to you that it’s the latter.
The CIA fomented the Ukraine unrest that led to the ousting of their democratically elected leader and installed the globalist left. This was nothing new; the CIA has done the same numerous times:
- Mohammad Mossadegh (Iran, 1953) – Operation Ajax
- Jacobo Árbenz (Guatemala, 1954) – Operation PBSUCCESS
- Patrice Lumumba (Congo, 1961)
- Rafael Trujillo (Dominican Republic, 1961)
- Ngo Dinh Diem (South Vietnam, 1963)
- João Goulart (Brazil, 1964)
- Sukarno (Indonesia, 1965)
- Salvador Allende (Chile, 1973) – Operation Condor
- Isabel Perón (Argentina, 1976)
- Maurice Bishop (Grenada, 1983)
- Manuel Noriega (Panama, 1989)
- Hugo Chávez (Venezuela, 2002 – Failed)
- Muammar Gaddafi (Libya, 2011)
- Fidel Castro (Cuba, more than 600 attempts all failed)
- John F. Kennedy (USA, 1963, see Russ Baker’s Family of Secrets: The Bush Dynasty, the Powerful Forces That Put It in the White House, and What Their Influence Means for America. This book was written by investigative reporter Russ Baker when he heard George H.W. Bush remark casually that he couldn’t remember where he was when JFK was shot. Must read.
The Obama-Biden-led CIA targeted the Ukraine in 2014 in an operation known as The Maidan Affair (Maidan means square or plaza in Ukrainian) – a wave of protests and civil unrest in Ukraine that culminated in the overthrow of democratically-elected President Viktor Yanukovych.
Key Events:
- November 2013 – Protests Begin
- Yanukovych rejects an EU trade deal in favor of closer ties with Russia, sparking protests in Kyiv’s Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square).
- Protesters demand closer European integration and an end to government corruption.
- December 2013 – Clashes Intensify
- Government crackdowns on protesters lead to violent clashes.
- Protests spread across Ukraine, drawing international attention.
- January–February 2014 – Escalation
- The government enacts anti-protest laws, further fueling unrest.
- Clashes between security forces and demonstrators result in over 100 deaths (referred to as the “Heavenly Hundred”).
4. The 2024 Maidan Sniper Killings: A Closer Look at a False Flag Operation
-
- The Maidan Sniper Killings (February 20, 2014) were one of the most pivotal and mysterious events of the Euromaidan Revolution.
Exactly What Happened on February 20, 2014?
- Location: Kyiv’s Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square)
- Snipers began firing from rooftops and buildings near the square, including the Ukraine Hotel and other government buildings.
- Casualties:
-
- Over 100 protesters were killed (later called the “Heavenly Hundred”).
- Around 17 police officers also died.
-
- Effect: The killings escalated international condemnation of Yanukovych, leading to his flight from Ukraine on February 22.
The Official Narrative: Blaming Yanukovych’s Government
- Western governments and Ukrainian authorities accused Berkut riot police and special forces under Yanukovych of ordering the sniper attacks.
- Ukrainian prosecutors later charged Berkut officers with murder, though trials have been slow and inconclusive.
- Supporters of this theory argue that Yanukovych, backed by Russia, tried to crush the uprising through force.
Problems with the Official Narrative:
- Snipers targeted both sides—not just protesters but also police officers, which is unusual for state-sponsored repression.
- Some reports claim that pro-Maidan leaders obstructed investigations, raising suspicions.
- Many Berkut officers fled to Russia, which has denied involvement and accused the opposition of staging the event.
- February 22, 2014 – Yanukovych Ousted
-
- Amid rising violence, Yanukovych flees to Russia, and the Ukrainian parliament votes to remove him from power.
- A pro-Western government takes over.
- March 2014 – Russia Reacts
-
- Russia annexes Crimea, citing the protection of Russian-speaking populations.
- Pro-Russian separatists rise in Donetsk and Luhansk, leading to war in Eastern Ukraine.
Impact:
- Russia-Ukraine conflict escalates, leading to ongoing war.
- Ukraine pivots toward the West, deepening ties with the EU and NATO.
- U.S. and EU impose sanctions on Russia for annexing Crimea.
- The conflict sets the stage for Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022.
So far, so good. No clearly visible CIA fingerprints left behind.
However.
Insightful analysts, politicians, and media sources—particularly from Russia and pro-Russian circles—have claimed that the CIA and other Western intelligence agencies played a role in fomenting the 2014 Maidan Revolution to weaken Russian influence in Ukraine. While the U.S. officially denies any direct involvement in orchestrating the uprising, various claims suggest a hidden hand in shaping events. Below are some of the key allegations and evidence:
- History and stage-setting: U.S. Support for Opposition Groups
- Critics argue that U.S. and EU funding helped sustain Ukrainian opposition movements long before Maidan.
- The National Endowment for Democracy (NED), which has ties to U.S. government agencies, funded pro-democracy groups in Ukraine.
- Victoria Nuland (U.S. Assistant Secretary of State) admitted the U.S. had spent $5 billion on democracy-building efforts in Ukraine since the 1990s, which some interpret as regime-change preparation.
- Victoria Nuland’s Leaked Call
- In February 2014, a leaked phone call between Victoria Nuland and Geoffrey Pyatt (U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine) revealed them discussing who should lead Ukraine after Yanukovych’s removal.
- Nuland suggested Arseniy Yatsenyuk (“Yats is the guy”) who later became Ukraine’s Prime Minister after Yanukovych fled.
- Critics argue this proves U.S. involvement in selecting Ukraine’s post-Maidan leadership.
- Presence of U.S. Officials at Maidan
- Several high-profile U.S. officials openly supported Maidan protesters:
- John McCain (U.S. Senator) stood on stage with Ukrainian opposition leaders.
- Victoria Nuland distributed cookies and snacks to protesters, symbolizing U.S. solidarity.
- Critics claim this level of open diplomatic support was unusual and suggestive of deeper involvement.
- Allegations of Sniper Attacks Being a False Flag
- On February 20, 2014, unknown snipers killed over 100 people in Kyiv.
- Pro-Russian sources claim the snipers were hired by Western-backed forces to escalate the conflict and justify Yanukovych’s removal.
- A leaked call between Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Paet and EU’s Catherine Ashton raised concerns that the opposition may have been behind the sniper attacks. See below.
- No conclusive evidence has proven who ordered the killings.
- CIA Visits and Post-Maidan Influence
- After Maidan, CIA Director John Brennan visited Kyiv in April 2014, leading Russia to claim U.S. intelligence was directly guiding Ukraine’s new government.
- The U.S. provided military and intelligence support to Ukraine, which some see as part of a long-term plan to pull Ukraine away from Russia, in the same spirit and purpose as NATO encirclement of Russia, which Russian president Vladimir Putin called “unacceptable.”
The Leaked Urmas Paet-Catherine Ashton Call: Sniper Attack Controversy
One of the most controversial pieces of evidence cited in debates about the 2014 Maidan Revolution is a leaked phone call between Urmas Paet, the Estonian Foreign Minister, and Catherine Ashton, the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs. This call, which surfaced on March 5, 2014, suggested the possibility that Maidan opposition forces, i.e., the West—not the democratically-elected Yanukovych government—were responsible for the deadly sniper attacks that escalated the conflict.
What Was Said in the Call?
In the leaked conversation, Paet, who had just returned from a fact-finding visit to Kyiv, told Ashton that there were growing suspicions that the snipers who fired on both protesters and police might have been hired by elements within the opposition. Key excerpts include:
- Urmas Paet: “There is now stronger and stronger understanding that behind the snipers, it was not Yanukovych, but it was somebody from the new coalition.”
- Paet: “All the evidence shows that the people who were killed by snipers, both policemen and people from the street, that they were the same snipers killing people from both sides.”
- Catherine Ashton: “I think we do want to investigate. I mean, I didn’t pick that up, that’s interesting. Gosh.”
Why Is This Controversial?
- Contradicts the Official Narrative
- The Western narrative at the time blamed Yanukovych’s government forces for the sniper killings.
- Paet’s statement implied that opposition figures may have staged the attack to escalate the conflict and delegitimize Yanukovych.
- Supports “False Flag” Theories
- Russian and pro-Yanukovych sources have used this call to argue that the West and pro-Maidan factions staged the killings to trigger international outrage and justify a regime change.
- No Investigation Followed
- Despite Paet’s claim that there was strong evidence, no serious international investigation was conducted into who ordered the snipers to fire.
- The Ukrainian government, after Yanukovych fled, maintained that Russian-linked security forces were responsible.
The newly West-led Ukraine upped the ante by attacking Russians.
- Post-Maidan Policies Targeting Russian-Speakers
After the overthrow of Viktor Yanukovych (who had strong support from Russian-speaking regions), the new Ukrainian government took several controversial steps:
a) Repealing Russian Language Protections (February 2014)
- One of the first acts of the post-Maidan parliament was attempting to repeal the 2012 law that allowed Russian as an official regional language.
- This outraged ethnic Russians and Russian speakers in Eastern Ukraine and Crimea, who saw it as an attack on their cultural identity.
- Though the repeal was later vetoed, the damage was done—protests erupted across Russian-speaking regions.
b) Banning Pro-Russian Political Parties & Media
- Ukraine banned Russian-language media, news channels, and political parties sympathetic to Russia.
- Pro-Russian politicians were persecuted, including Viktor Medvedchuk, a major opposition leader, who was later arrested.
- Many Russian cultural symbols, including Soviet-era statues, were torn down.
- The Odessa Massacre (May 2, 2014)
- In Odessa, pro-Russian protesters opposed the new government, organizing demonstrations.
- On May 2, 2014, a violent confrontation broke out between pro-Ukrainian nationalists and pro-Russian activists.
- Pro-Ukrainian forces set fire to the Trade Unions House, where dozens of ethnic Russians and pro-Russian activists were trapped.
- At least 42 people died, many burned alive or killed while trying to escape.
- The Ukrainian government did not hold the perpetrators accountable, fueling anger in Russian-speaking regions.
- War in Donbass (April 2014 – Present)
a) Ukrainian Military Assault on Donetsk and Luhansk
- In April 2014, pro-Russian separatists in Donetsk and Luhansk declared independence, forming the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR).
- The Ukrainian government launched the “Anti-Terrorist Operation” (ATO) to crush the separatists.
- Heavy artillery shelling by Ukrainian forces devastated civilian areas in Donetsk and Luhansk.
- War crimes allegations include:
- Bombing residential areas (e.g., the shelling of Donetsk and Gorlovka).
- Killing civilians with indiscriminate attacks.
- Using far-right militias, such as the Azov Battalion, accused of human rights abuses.
b) Use of Neo-Nazi Militias (Azov Battalion)
- The Azov Battalion, a volunteer force with far-right extremist ties, was incorporated into the Ukrainian military.
- Azov fighters have been accused of:
- Torturing and executing pro-Russian civilians.
- Racially motivated killings of ethnic Russians.
- Using banned weapons, including phosphorus bombs.
- Economic Blockade on Donbass (2017)
- In 2017, Ukraine cut off economic ties with Donetsk and Luhansk, blocking trade and freezing financial transactions.
- This crippled the local economy, causing severe humanitarian crises.
- Residents in Donbass were denied pensions and social benefits from the Ukrainian government.
- Russian Response and Crimea’s Secession (2014)
- In March 2014, following protests in Crimea, Russia annexed the peninsula after a controversial referendum where over 90% of voters chose to join Russia (results disputed by the West).
- Russia justified the annexation as protecting ethnic Russians from the nationalist policies of the new Ukrainian government.
Conclusion: Did Ukraine Conduct Ethnic Cleansing on the Russians?
- While Ukraine framed its actions as a fight against “separatists,” many ethnic Russians saw it as a campaign of repression.
- Western governments mostly ignored or justified West-led Ukraine’s actions despite clear human rights violations.
- The conflict fueled Russian intervention, culminating in the 2022 full-scale invasion. It was not for no reason.
Few people know these facts. Donald Trump certainly does and has stated them in bits and pieces to the media (“You should have never started it” and “You’re gambling with World War III” to Zelensky). He further rightly called Zelensky, who wraps himself in the mantle of “democracy,” a dictator (for shuttering free media and churches, among other things.)
Man in the spotlight Donald Trump is anathema to Obama-Biden imperialistic, globalist, leftist policies and is seeking to right the ship. His goal is peace, to end loss of life, and to end the war, and second, to forego further entanglements with a corrupt Ukraine (that shuttered free media and churches) that would set the USA up for a face-off with Russia.
As a result, alliances will change. A more tightly bound Europe will emerge. And perhaps a revived Holy Roman Empire that will expand across the globe in fulfillment of Bible prophecy while an isolationist America looks the other way.
