Unity in the Body of Christ,
Is so important for the well being of the church, for without “unity” there can be no harmony, only chaos, disorder and confusion. Everything must be done decent and in order as we follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in our assemblies. The Holy Spirit, who is perfect and holy, will always lead us down a path of unity, harmony and away from all things that would distract our focus away from Jesus Christ. Anything that is not Christ centered is chaos, confusion and complete pandemonium. Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard; that went down to the skirts of his garments; as the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion; for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore. Psalm 133:1-3 Unity is highly valuable and is considered to be of great importance to God. Precious ointments were used to smooth skin and to heal wounds and as a symbol of unity it began at the highest part and then covered the very lower parts of the skirts of his garment. Unity will bring us the body of Christ together in the power of His might to go forth and conquer the forces of darkness that are holding captive our families, friends and the people of this world.
