Acts 2:38 KJV “Then Peter said unto them, REPENT, [AND] BE BAPTIZED >>EVERY<< >>ONE<< OF YOU in the NAME of JESUS CHRIST [FOR] the REMISSION OF SINS, AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT of the HOLY GHOST.” _________________________________________________________ Jesus said we were worth all that He endured. Jesus endured the rejection of His own people, hatred, mockery, being spit on, beaten, and whipped. Jesus took a crown of thorns upon His head, was nailed to the cross, and was pierced in His side. Jesus endured it all to pay it all for us. We KNOW the LOVE of JESUS because He took >>ACTION<< to SHOW us His LOVE. _________________________________________________________ Jesus led by example, He was baptized in water Himself to fulfill all RIGHTEOUSNESS, and then taught us in John 3:3-5 that unless we are BORN AGAIN of WATER and SPIRIT, we will NOT enter the KINGDOM of GOD. Jesus not only said we were worth His sacrifice, but He showed us that we are by being the sacrifice. How is that Jesus our LORD and SAVIOR can give His all for us and we can’t do the same for Him? _________________________________________________________ Jesus said FOLLOW ME is He not worthy that we follow Him in WORD and in DEED? Is Jesus not worthy that we follow His EXAMPLE and OBEY His mighty WORD? What Jesus taught is for our benefit, is for our good, for He is the GOOD SHEPHERD and only He saves. When we are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ (works) having (faith) in Jesus Christ our SINS are REMITTED and we shall RECEIVE the Gift of the Holy Ghost which is the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ in us. _________________________________________________________
