Calling: Why it all Matters
“The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.”
―G.K. Chesterton
“Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God.” (1 Corinthians 1:1)
Clarity on your calling – who I am and whose I am – is one of the most vital bulwarks for thriving in life.
If a man is clear about this, he endures. If he is not, he will remain uncertain, unstable, and at the mercy of people who have their own agendas.
A man without a calling is a man mostly just trying to survive and never really knowing the answer to: “Survive for what?”
But a man with a clear calling is a potent and vital force who knows the satisfaction of having really lived for something and done something with his life that really matters.
The ONE THING for today: First, pay the price to discover your calling and then do not be distracted from pursuing it relentlessly for the rest of your life.
