Help us to send 150 King James Bibles to the Obion County Jail in Tennessee, the latest facility to reach out to Bibles Behind Bars

A counsellor at the Obion County Jail reached out to us, wondering if we could supply her with some Bibles for use in their facility, and I wrote back to her right away to tell her that we certainly could. But she was only looking for maybe a case of Bibles, so I looked up the info on their facility and saw it holds 149 inmates. I would love to be able to send them a Bible for every inmate.

“Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee; according to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to die;” Psalm 79:11 (KJB)

Jesus sure does have a heart for the prisoner in the Bible, so much so that He started His earthly ministry on verses that talk about “setting the captives free” in Isaiah 61:1. Many of the first century Christian wound up in jail, as did most of the apostles as well. So a Bible-sending ministry that goes to the jails, prisons and detention centers is really hitting the “sweet spot” as far as the Lord is concerned. DL Moody had his Colportage Association, and we have Bibles Behind Bars. The work continues!
