Don’t Be Afraid of the Truth

How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? For scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge. Proverbs 1:22

One of the most important lessons of life is to understand that nothing will change until you change.

When Proverbs speaks of being “simple” it is not describing a bad person, but rather a person who is ignorant, someone who is naive and inexperienced.

We’re all simple about something.  And when we find ourselves in this state we have three choices:

  1. We can hid our ignorance by scorning and mocking others.
  2. We can play the fool and refuse to face the facts and do the hard work of learning the truth.
  3. Or we can step and change so that we can mature and know what to do.

The ONE THING for today: Don’t be afraid of the truth, be willing to pay the price required to learn what to do in those uncertain areas of your life, for ultimately the pursuit of truth will get you to The Truth and He will show you the way and lead you into an abundant life.

6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

John 14:6
