As the Holy Spirit drove Jesus into the wilderness (Mark 1:12), so Christmas drives us homeward.

Home: where we are reminded that man shall not live by work alone or by the many other things that vie for our loyalties, resources, and time, but rather but by faith, family, and home. 

When these three things stop mattering more than all the other things we’ve lost our way.
