Laying The Groundwork? :: By Dave Hubley

(There is a special message at the end of this article for those who might happen to read this and do not have Jesus in their life and are looking for peace and a way to better understand the present-day insanity and confusion.)

Recent comments by President Trump are causing quite a lot of debate, particularly in secular circles. The following are some topical examples.

Canada: Comments about annexing Canada and making it the 51st state of the union are ruffling some feathers among our northern neighbors.

Greenland: Comments by President Trump about the United States buying (or acquiring) Greenland from Denmark are also “in the news.”

Panama Canal: Taking back control of the Panama Canal is a hot-button topic in recent news as well.

Most of this is really not new, with the possible exception of annexing Canada. Talk of acquiring Greenland arose after WWI, as its strategic value to the U.S. relative to control of the North Atlantic sea lanes was obvious. It was raised again after WWII for the same reasons, perhaps with a little more urgency, but once again, it faded away. Very rich in minerals, oil, gas, and some other more tactically critical products, it makes much sense.

This time, there is speculation that Denmark may be more interested in relinquishing the fiscal burden of Greenland as it is a drain on their economy, and if it is true, the U.S. has responsibility for its defense anyway.

Apparently, if reports are accurate, a substantial number of Greenlanders are supportive.

In the case of the Panama Canal, it is said by President Trump that U.S. shipping is being taken advantage of by fees charged for its use and that China has far too much control over it. (Perhaps the Panamanians may not really have stewardship of it?) There is a neutrality clause that is written into the treaty that preserves the right of America to defend our free access to it. America’s investment in it and its critical tactical value make it imperative that it remain open to the U.S. Navy and to world commerce.

Another possibility for China’s excessive influence is that they have loaned the Panamanian government large amounts of money they are not able to repay or provided construction projects for various reasons, and they are not able to pay for them so that, in a manner of speaking, Panama becomes an indentured servant. This is a tactic that the Chinese have employed all over the world with great success. Again, this is if these reports are accurate. I do not have any trouble believing it.

“The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower is servant to the lender” (Proverbs 22:7).

All these things aside, this commentary is focused on another aspect of these current controversies that is unrelated to the particulars of each of these places.

It is really based on the related prophesies in the Book of Daniel and the Book of Revelation, as well as the current rumblings of the proponents of the “New World Order,” or as it is more often referred to: “One World Government”:

“This is what Daniel conveyed: ‘The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on the earth, different from all the other kingdoms, and it will devour the whole earth, trample it down, and crush it. And the ten horns are ten kings who will rise from this kingdom. After them another king (antichrist), different from the earlier ones, will rise and subdue three kings. He will speak out against the Most High and oppress the saints of the Most High, intending to change the appointed times and laws; and the saints will be given into his hand for a time, and times, and half a time” (Daniel 7:23-25). Emphasis added by me.

Reference is made to this same prophecy as well in the final Book of God’s Word:

“The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but they receive authority as kings with the beast for one hour. These have one purpose, and they give their power and authority to the beast” (Revelation 17:12-13).

These ten “kings” will have to rule over yet to be established geographic regions for obvious reasons, and this is where it gets interesting for us here in North America.

A look at a map of the North American continent illustrates what appears to be a very easily accomplished establishment of a geographic “region” or a “kingdom” that could start at the northern border of South America (Columbia’s existing northern border), include the Panama Canal, include Mexico, encompass the current state of Alaska, all of Canada and Greenland as well as the “lower 48.”

This seems to be a tidy little division of real estate with easily defined perimeters.

>Concepts of this “consolidation” are, to a degree, being floated in the open at the present time as regards North America, especially by a number of people who desire to be “world population controllers.” They will end up as dupes.

>This idea of a ten-region division of the world and abolition of current national sovereignty as a way to accomplish this has been and will continue to be an aim of the globalist cabal who, without realizing it, will participate in the fulfillment of Bible prophecy. More evidence of the awesome power of God (Daniel 2:21).

These ten regions will become a short-lived reality, but it will be at God’s appointed time and according to God’s own Word as quoted above (Revelation 17:12-13).

What I am NOT saying: I am not suggesting that President Trump will be one of these ten “kings.”

It is interesting to consider that, but based on his “America First” nationalistic position, it seems unlikely that he would fit the bill as one of these ten rulers.

However, things are changing very rapidly at present, and ultimately, Donald Trump will be and do whatever the Lord God has determined by His own authority.

Despite what any American, Canadian, Mexican, Greenlander, Panamanian, or any other human wants or thinks, God is El Shaddai, and it is His will that will be done.

“Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, For wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings” (Daniel 2:20-21).

Now to the crux of this article.

There is, at present, for those who are watching, an obvious uptick in prophetic activity.

Already precisely fulfilled prophecy confirms that the prophecies that have not yet been fulfilled will be fulfilled in every detail. It is inevitable.

The Holy Spirit of God seeks to save those who are willing to believe the Truth of God’s Words and take them to heart. I hope and pray that you will be one of them.

Time grows short. If you are willing, you must do so in your living years.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20).

The special message I promised you:

For anyone who may read this article and has not trusted in Jesus Christ and therefore has no hope or peace in your life.

You can have hope. You can have the peace that Jesus has promised to all who have made Him their Lord and Savior. The peace that passes understanding.

It requires that you come before God on His terms and that you do so in your living years.

And, what are His terms according to His Word?

  • Genuine repentance (turning to God instead of continuing to reject or ignore Him).
  • Confession of sins (that you are a sinner and acknowledge that to God).
  • That you understand that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).
  • To acknowledge to God that you are unable to pay that debt.
  • Belief that Jesus Christ paid your death sentence for you on the cross and rose from the grave three days later, conquering death, just as He promised.
  • To believe that Jesus is the Way, the only Way, that God has established by which humans may be saved from the consequences of their sin and rebellion.

God has made it absolutely clear that there is no one who comes before Him, under His terms, that will be refused.

  • No one: no race, no color, no country of origin, regardless of any previous belief system: no one.
  • No matter what your past sins have been, God can and WILL forgive you because He says He will.
  • Salvation is available to everyone without any exceptions.

If you put all your trust for salvation in Jesus, and Him only, you can follow that prayer up by simply saying, “Thank you, Father God, for hearing my prayer and saving me,” because we can trust Him to keep His Word. He always has. He always will.

“Truly, Truly, I say to you that he who hears My words and believes the One who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned. He has crossed from death to life” (John 5:24).

There are no answers and there is no hope in the world by governments, organizations, politics or politicians. There is only lies and deception. But you can have the Truth and the peace you seek.

The answers are in the Word of God—The Bible. If you ask God, with all your heart, He will hear you.

“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13).
