In years past I have given a lot of breakfast talks; it was not unusual to wake up two hours early to tweak your thoughts and to anticipate the setting. So this is not so much a criticque of what was said but rather of how we listen. In his large audience many must have woke up to think about the day ahead and yes even to think about world conditions.
