Ominous Activities, Prophetic Realities :: By Dave Hubley
(There is a special message at the end of this article for those who might happen to read this and do not have Jesus in their life and are looking for peace and a way to better understand the present-day insanity and confusion.)
As I begin this article, it is the day after President Trump appeared at the Republican National Convention to become the officially named candidate for the Republican ticket for 2024.
He has survived the attempt on his life under what is certainly very questionable circumstances. Many say, as Trump himself did, that his survival was a direct act of God. The circumstances give reason to consider that it is possible that this is what it was, but, as it often is with the One True God, He provides no proof.
In the ensuing days and weeks, as the initial furor has turned to more sober analysis and a great deal of additional evidence has emerged, there is ample evidence to suggest there is much more to this attempted murder than meets the eye.
Many of the “official” explanations and responses by officials in the various government agencies that were involved do not appear to pass the straight-face test and will likely never truly be brought to light in this modern-day era of deception, cover-up, and non-accountability. Are we being programmed to “get used to it”?
Perhaps they will not come to light for us, but they are quite well known to God, and His court has already rendered a verdict.
This article is really about the broader implications of how these events may fit into the rapid advancement of the conditions that fit into the prophecies contained in God’s Word, for these prophecies will all come to pass. Every last one of them.
The Rapid Degeneration of Moral Fortitude in The Fabric of America’s Foundation
It is now being reported in various venues that the RNC (Republican National Committee) has made a few changes to its official platform, and those changes are very telling about the direction of this country. They had stood for a very long time. Now, like the foundations of America, they are crumbling and falling into ruin.
They have altered their position on abortion.
It appears that they have decided to leave the legal issue of abortion to the individual states to determine. This appears to be consistent with the recent Supreme Court finding. From the legal standpoint, that seems reasonable, but what of the moral standpoint? Shall the long-standing position against abortion held by the so-called conservative Republican Party simply be abandoned to accommodate the advancing erosion of what constitutes right and wrong according to God?
Abortion requires pre-meditation on the part of all the parties involved. To kill an innocent life requires a considered process and procedure. In the case of an innocent, does that not meet the definition of premeditated murder? Does the GOP now take a neutral stance on it for the sake of politics and power?
They have altered their long-standing position on homosexual “marriage.”
This change to the moral fabric of the long-held position of the party platform is what could rightly be described as “politically correct accommodation” and is another shift toward prioritizing politics and power over God’s clear position on this subject stated in the Old Testament.
“You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination” (Leviticus 18:22). Emphasis added by me.
And the eternal consequences of this are made clear in the New Testament as well.
“Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
That God has not and will not alter His position in order to accommodate the desire of humankind is also made clear.
“God is not a man, that He should lie, or a son of man, that He should change His mind” (Numbers 23:19).
Stepping Away from the One and Only God by accepting false gods.
It is reported that at the close of RNC Day 1, this took place:
High-profile Republican attorney Harmeet Dhillon took to the podium, covered her head, and chanted the “ardas” prayer to “Waheguru, our one true God,” seeking blessing upon and protection for the candidacy of former President Trump.
According to the New York Post (and numerous other sources):
In English, the prayer reads, “This body and soul are yours. You are our mother and father; and we are your children. In your grace and through your benevolence, we experience peace and happiness!”
Dhillon then thanked God, whom she addressed as “Waheguru,” for the religious liberty enjoyed in America and for saving Donald Trump from an attempted assassination, saying, “We thank you, dear God, for protecting his life.”
The one true God? Our mother? Weheguru?
“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain” (Exodus 20:7). Emphasis added by me.
Since Exodus Chapter 20, God made it clear that:
“You shall have no other gods before Me” (20:3).
Many passages/verses in the Bible reiterate this Truth: this is but one:
“Remember the former things of old, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure’” (Isaiah 46:9-10). Emphasis added by me.
God is not a female, God is not any name of any man-generated, man-created, so-called god. He has made His nature clear so that man is “without excuse” (Romans 1:20).
Only the God of the Bible has provided future prophecy as literal proof of His existence. There is none else who has done this or who can do this.
The consequences of rejecting Him are also made clear.
“Then they will cry to the LORD, But He will not hear them; He will even hide His face from them at that time, Because they have been evil in their deeds” (Micah 3:4).
“Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, you survivors of the nations! They have no knowledge who carry about their wooden idols, and keep on praying to a god that cannot save” (Isaiah 45:20).
So, what does that tell us and where does that leave the GOP? It leaves their core purpose and principles to be clear: Politics, Power, and Godlessness.
Just like the DNC.
Now to the crux of this article.
The dangerous and growing focus on finding a cure for the world’s ills in a single human.
We find a lot of speculation about God intervening to preserve Trump’s life, but I can’t help but think that those who believe that overlook God’s Nature (if they truly have any familiarity with the nature of God) that He can and has used unbelieving humans (not that I am concluding that Trump is an unbeliever) to accomplish His purposes, so I don’t think it is wise to assign some sort of “chosen one” or otherwise significant status to Him.
There is only One “Chosen One,” and that is Jesus Christ.
Due to their own evil hearts, mankind will, in fact, turn to a person who will turn out to be an emissary of hell. God’s Word calls him “Antichrist, The Beast, The Son of Perdition, The Man of Sin.”
“The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9).
God will permit rebelliousness and evil to prevail for a time. God will give Christ-rejecting man what he wants, and humanity will pay a terrible price.
“For this reason God will send them a powerful delusion so that they believe the lie, in order that judgment may come upon all who have disbelieved the truth and delighted in wickedness” (2 Thessalonians 2:11-12).
As it relates to sober judgment and assigning confidence in Donald Trump or any human.
To my Christian sisters and brothers: a reminder that God has warned us that there is no hope in man.
“Put no more trust in man, who has only the breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?” (Isaiah 2:22).
The warning sign of growing antisemitism.
America is very likely to be included in these two very sobering verses:
“I will also gather all nations, And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; And I will enter into judgment with them there On account of My people, My heritage Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; They have also divided up My land” (Joel 3:2).
“So on that day I will set out to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem” (Zechariah 12:9). Emphasis added by me in the above. In the Word of God, all means all.
To any who may read this who have not received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and the One True Hope.
The Bible contains literally hundreds of foretold future events. Many of them involve minute details, and their literal fulfillment confirms their authenticity. The track record, up to this point in history, is of 100 percent accuracy. This includes the prophecies of the coming of God’s Son and His life, death, burial, resurrection, and His purpose for coming. Based on that fact alone, the balance of them will be fulfilled in the same manner: minutely, perfectly, and powerfully.
Jesus provided this invitation for every and any individual who will be willing to hear Him over the cacophony of this world in its constant turmoil.
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20).
Please stop and consider all of the past history of human governments. Can you trust in man’s proffered “solutions”?
Please, open your heart to Jesus while you are still in your living years.
The special message I promised you:
For anyone who may read this article that has not trusted in Jesus Christ and therefore has no hope or peace in your life.
You can have hope. You can have the peace that Jesus has promised to all who have made Him their Lord and Savior. The peace that passes understanding.
It requires that you come before God on His terms and that you do so in your living years.
And, what are His terms according to His Word?
- Genuine repentance (turning to God instead of continuing to reject or ignore Him).
- Confession of sins (that you are a sinner and acknowledge that to God).
- That you understand that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).
- To acknowledge to God that you are unable to pay that debt.
- Belief that Jesus Christ paid your death sentence for you on the cross and rose from the grave three days later, conquering death, just as He promised.
- To believe that Jesus is the Way, the only Way, that God has established by which humans may be saved from the consequences of their sin and rebellion.
God has made it absolutely clear that there is no one who comes before Him, under His terms, that will be refused.
- No one: no race, no color, no country of origin, regardless of any previous belief system: no one.
- No matter what your past sins have been, God can and WILL forgive you because He says He will.
- Salvation is available to everyone without any exceptions.
If you put all your trust for salvation in Jesus, and Him only, you can follow that prayer up by simply saying, “Thank you, Father God, for hearing my prayer and saving me,” because we can trust Him to keep His Word. He always has. He always will.
“Truly, Truly, I say to you that he who hears My words and believes the One who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned. He has crossed from death to life” (John 5:24).
There are no answers and there is no hope in the world by governments, organizations, politics or politicians. There are only lies and deception. But you can have the Truth and the peace you seek.
The answers are in the Word of God—The Bible. If you ask God, with all your heart, He will hear you.
“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13).
